It's all part of the NFL-ization of college football. Who gives a crap? It's like saying the Patriots or better the Giants didn't win the division but they made the playoffs and won the Super Bowl. It doesn't matter....it's the playoff era now. Winning the conference or a single game doesn't matter like it used to.....

Actually should claim 1977. Bama beat Mississippi who beat Notre Dame. Notre Dame jumped from 5th to 1st after beating Texas. #2 Bama beat their bowl opponent by 4 TDs.

Nah, we should probably change our mascot to the National Championship Trophy since we win more of those than everyone else combined.

That is your explanatoon? Baseball plays like 5 billion games, and a lot of players miss more games than college football plays.
As much as baseball devalues their regular season, I believe they still give teams with a better record a home field advantage. The same thing applies to the NFL and NBA

Yeah, because the Major League Baseball playoffs are held an hour away from a team's normal stadium, and they make an effort to evenly distribute the tickets as much as possible

Another good point. If Georgia had something like a 70/30 split in the stadium crowd they probably would have performed better, too.

Same with the 2010 Green Bay Packers. They have the Lombardi trophy for that season and already no one remembers they were the last NFC wildcard.

If they were the last wildcard, then they had the disadvantage of playing three true road games in the playoffs. Bammers on here really do live up to their rep as the dumbest fans around
