A little context here- Earl was the 6th out of 11 children born and raised in the poor part of Tyler, TX when segregation was still in full effect. His dad died when he was eleven. Football (and BBQ) are all he knows.
He is old, can barely walk after scores of surgeries, and likely has early stages of CTE/ brain damage from decades of battering ram football.
Was what he said wrong? Of course.
Was it offensive? I mean, I guess if you’re really offended by what he said, maybe consider the source/ context, put on a sweater, and curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and blog about it.

Ok? What does that have to do with today and making an idiotic statement such as this? We can compare the numbers and break them down white qbs vs blacks in college and the nfl if he'd like.
