So no, it's not a good idea to structure any term contract for Caddy. He's got potential, but now isn't the time to throw him to the wolves.
I'll bet if someone without an agenda asked Cadillac if he could handle the job, he'd say hell yes! And the "he's got potential, BUT..." comment, rings very hollow when realizing how little Auburn could lose against how much good could be accomplished for both the football program, AND any potential social problems down the road for the entire school.
At least it's something that should be discussed behind closed doors at the administration building.

All the OP pointed out was Auburn has an opportunity. I think it scares the shite out of some of you that it could happen. Caddy is the only guy on that staff who could have brought that much excitement and enthusiasm. Since all you Auburn people like experiment's why not try this one for a year?

Does it really matter who you hire? At the end of the day, unless you manage to buy another Cam or Bama gets crippled by sanctions again, you're still going to be just a 8 win team that can compete in very small windows, but not quite make it. That is literally what your program has ALWAYS been.
