Now go to Shreveport and tell me how many people you see who pull for the Cowboys over both the Saints and the Bengals.

A lot of older people are cowboys fans in Louisiana. The cowboys were on TV when they were kids. The saints weren't.

Any true Saints fan would say Saints. My question is, why is it a problem if we root for a former Tiger we want to see do well? Last year in the SB, I didn't have any reason to root for the Rams, so I wanted Joe to win. Does that make me a die-hard Bengals fan? No

Maybe I’m selfish but once my player is done playing for my team and goes pro I wish him the best and then couldn’t care less about wherever he goes lmao

I don't think it has that much to do with age, as the Saints are only 7 years younger than the Cowboys. I am 55 and the NFC network (CBS in the past and now FOX) have always been obligated to show the Saints in their home market.

Since they are not considered to be in that market, the Shreveport affiliate has chosen to air Cowboy games over the Saints many times.

Shreveport is a lot closer to Dallas than it is to NOLA.

I pulled for the Bengals, because I knew the Saints had no chance of making the playoffs

They seem more passionate about the Bengals. All because a guy, who grew up in Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University, spent a couple years in Louisiana before going back to Ohio

Chase isn't from Ohio.

The worst part about growing up in the Atlanta market in the 80's was being forced to watch the crappy Falcons, but on clear days if we could adjust the rabbit ears just right we could pick up the Chattanooga station and watch better games.

I'd say the huge majority of the in-state LSU fans would/should pull for the Saints...but I don't have the mind-set (thank god!) of "the coonass", so.....

You definitely give off NFL fan vibes.

They cheer for the Saints - as long as Mark Ingram isn’t playing.

And they do, genius. How much of the population of Louisiana do you think is on this sports message board?

Why hasn't the LSU fans shown their loyalty for New Orleans Saints more on this site?

Really? So there's a large portion of their state that they actually don't like?..interesting.

Might it have something to do with Joe Brady when Sean Payton wasn't happy with LSU when Joe Brady took a job with LSU from New Orleans Saints. Things fell apart for New Orleans Saints ever since that happened.
