You nutless wonder, LSU was trying to get A&M into the SEC as far back as 92; we just couldn't convince any other SEC teams to let you shite-asses into the conference, so we backed Arkansas as a new member.
Once LSU had to add Arkansas as an annual home-and-away series, LSU couldn't afford to play the TWO-YEAR extension to the existing 10-YEAR contract. So, LSU played out the rest of the original 10-year contract, and according to the contract language, provided a replacement for LSU on A&M's schedule for the two-year extension.
It's funny how A&M was all good with it until this happened:

That's theft to pretend that USL is a financial replacement for LSU, and then hide behind "you can't sue us because Louisiana laws say you can't" to avoid legal consequences for your theft.

Plus them not playing has help some of us get home and home with Texas.
They are waving tbe SEC flag. Texas doesn't care about aggy as much as they think. They would much rather play LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

On more than one occasion, a couple aggys here suggested that I sank a thread by ra-ing with no rhyme or reason.

This isn’t 2010. I don’t give a damn about the “SEC flag”. I do care about renewing a great rivalry that would be great for college football. Two big in state schools should always play each other.
