It only benefits our little brother horn, who is struggling for relevance, broke and needing ticket sales

At this point it only helps Texas.

True, UT would just prove every year that they are the dominant team in Texas, thereby getting the better recruits. Now, if A&M had a good enough program to consistently beat Texas, they would show that they are the dominant team, and reap the recruiting rewards. But I think after 125 years of beat downs, even an aggie is aware enough to realize it's a fools errand.

A bold attempt at trolling, but the old SWC schools know that the reason the all time records are so lopsided is that Texas rolled up a huge bunch of wins back when schools like A&M and Arkansas were about the same size as a small community college.

I am a no until the revamp the playoff system. At this point the schedule of the SECW makes scheduling 2 P5 matchups stupid. I don’t want to sacrifice other road trips and OOC games to bring it back. Plus, as others mentioned, they need it much more than we do. Do you see how the tickets are priced for Lsu? They’re starved for a decent home game.

Funny, series is pretty much 50/50 over the last 50 years

Doesn’t really seem like either side has been dominant even with Mack browns incredible run figured in

You don’t understand logic do you?

What’s even more incredible is even with all of little brother horns advantages, Aggie still won 3 national championships 25 years before little brother horn got their first

And, they were able to buy up all the talent with unlimited scholarships.

The series is even since the NCAA put a stop to it.

The last 20 years of the series up to 2011 had very little national interest. It ihas never been a real marquee game nationwide. We would much rather expand into other markets.

It is too soon to play them. They made their decision, now they need to live with it.

Personally they only way I would agree to it is if their former AD Deloss Dodds would apologize for his comments when we left. We offered many times to continue to play but Dodds refused to even consider it.

A bowl would be the best place to play them again. We would be required to use officials from outside the state. If it were a home and home it would require using BDF officials every other year. They are notorious for screwing us (well documented ie pics of calls, pics of BDF officials wearing UT gear, etc (again well documented).

We are part of the best conference in college football, why would we want to schedule them?

I wish them well but they need to move on.

Due to A&M's best ten-year stretch in their history from about 84 to 94. Take that out, and it's the same old shite.

From 1962-1983, UT was 17-5.
From 1995-2011 UT was 12-5.

A&M basically had one decade of success in 117 years against UT. It really doesn't make sense for A&M to play UT anymore.

You’ll find the response is a resounding no. Less serious A&M fans are for it, but the die-hards realize that scheduling Texas helps them solve a major problem they have with a consistently putrid home schedule, helps them deal with a recruiting problem relative to their conference, and are just sick of their shite. So, no...we don’t want to schedule then

I understand your points but as a college football fan we would like to see that game every year.

I am not trying to be argumentative but you need to look back on history. Texas A&M was primarily an all male, military and agriculture school.

The change began when the focus of the school changed to a more broad minded education institution.

The NCAA placed scholarship limitation and the playing field evened out for all schools. The University of Texas (Darrell Royal) had the money to offer a scholarship to any player that had talent. They had a bench that could defeat most schools in the USA. Your choice was go to Austin or head to College Station where the Corps was mandatory for athletes and there were no women.

Women were admitted and the Corps became optional and the growth began (and still continues). A&M's future is great.....UT, not so much as it has turned into a politically liberal (ie Austin) bastion.
