I really like the Mississippi assistant coach to be the next Lsu head baseball coach. He doing good things down there and wants to be head coach. But who will it be no idea. Have seen 20 different threads on who it will be

If it were McDonnell it'd be done by now. If it's Godwin then they missed out on whoever they're working on in Omaha.

Don't think this will happen but I do think he's a/will be a great coach. I don't see LSU turning down Bianco and keeping Godwin warm just to hire an assistant.

But I've been wrong before

A lot of people on here or having a good ole time trolling TN about Vitello, but in all seriousness, Woody has kept this close to the vest.

NO ONE knows for sure, at this point, and anything mentioned is pure speculation.

Doesn’t really matter. They will hire a solid coach, regardless.

Lemonis has the best job in the SEC. Best facilities, pretty good fans, lower expectations, etc ... One of the best jobs in the country

I agree, Ole Miss is also a good job.

Right now I have no clue, but I am good with any of the names remaining that have been mentioned for the job

MSU expectations are lower than many teams out there. Doesn't mean they are a bad team - I honestly think Lemonis is severely underrated as a coach.

Completely untrue in regards to baseball. With the money they've put into the program, they'd never let Bianco stay with just 1 trip to Omaha during a 20 year run.

I wouldn't say the expectations are low, but I don't remember the last head coach State fired because of on field performance in baseball.

You’re probably right. It’s only year two but Lemonis is off to a scorching hot start. I hope we have him in Starkville a long time

Agreed. I didn't say they were low, just lower than some other teams (looking at LSU for example)

That would be because we’ve been pretty consistent. I will say we didn’t hire the interim head coach after a trip to Omaha. Not many schools in the SEC would do that.

True. And Cohen was given a nice leash because of his connections as an alum. He got off to a very rocky start both on and off the field and wasn't ever really in any jeopardy.
