A little bit of disparity in Week 3 as Tennessee got their first win, LSU looked suspect in the first half, and Mississippi State lost to KSU.

Alabama holds firm at #1, LSU and UGA are on their heels as Arkansas, Tennessee, and Vandy round out the bottom three.

quote:

We got outcoached and outplayed at home against an opponent we should have beaten. We lack toughness on both sides of the ball. With Stevens nursing a sore shoulder, we may find ourselves again on the losing side of thing this week again at home against Kentucky.

quote:

We have San Jose State coming to Fayetteville week 4, we should blow them out, but we're Arkansas.

quote:

Thoroughly complete performance from the dawgs this week against another tune-up team. Next week the rubber meets the road in Sanford with the Irish coming to town.

quote:

Florida will now need to find out what type of team they are now that Franks is done for the season. Trask looked pretty good versus Kentucky and lead a comeback. He will likely get the start this week versus Tennessee and get his first full game as a QB. Since Florida's running game is lacking, Florida will have to rely on throwing it a lot more -- it'll be interesting to see how we respond versus Tennessee.

quote:

After stumbling out of the gate on defense, Tiger fans are beginning to worry that the defense may be a cause for concern this season. Joe Burrow continues to shine as does the rest of the LSU offense. Up next is the SEC opener on the road at Vandy. Good soft test to open the conference slate.

quote:

Auburn handled Kent St, but there were a few bumps along the way. Next up is our SEC opener in College Station. Both teams view this as a season defining game, so I’m sure it’ll filled with controversy.

quote:

Alabama finally got revenge against South Carolina after 9 long years. The defense looked rough and we lost another starting defensive player to injury. Thankfully, Tua is the best QB in the country. Next up is scorching hot day game against a Southern Miss team fresh off an upset of main LSU rival, Troy.

Best of the week

I may be reading it wrong but that graph looks like LSU #2 and UGA #3

You are not reading it wrong. Mainly because UGA got some 1st place votes.

You have to factor in Georgia getting first place votes

UGA has some first place votes that are lifting it over LSU.

You are laughing but LSU looked really bad for two quarters, mostly on defense. If I recall, TR basically was convinced it was time to "fire aranda"

TR overreact about everything. We didn’t even punt in the first half lol. Couple blown assignments let them score but the goose egg in the second half with our whole front 7 out should have everybody terrified.

i think this is being overstated a bit. lsu was missing several defensive starters. also, nws hit on some freakishly amazing plays. once that ran out and lsu regrouped at halftime, the defense was lockdown.
