Selfishly I would love it in DFW, but curiously I am wondering why Miami isn't being considered? Sounds like a great place to visit for a weekend in December, and the NFL chooses it more than any other place to play its championship game.

Wondering if it is because most people fly to the Super Bowl and probably drive to the SECCG. Still a drive to Miami for the weekend would seem like more fun than a drive to Dallas. We got good bass fishin' in Florida too for all the SEC fans that prefer fresh water activities. Red Man is still fresh this far South.

BTW, how has Red Man not had to change their name?

It should rotate every year to each state that has an SEC team. All 14 states would get a game. Give everyone who doenst want to travel for to see a championship game a shot to see it at home

Are they unhappy where they are? They joined the Big East before they would join the SEC. The ACC was their second conference move. They were offered.

So we can get shot? New Orleans used to be a great city. Not so much anymore.

People that keep saying Dallas must never have been there. Dallas can be shitty in December and jerryworld is a soulless cavern surrounded by parking lots with not enough bars nearby. I will never go back.

No doubt. New Orleans is the true home of real SEC postseason play, always has been. Nobody wants to go to Atlanta; outside of the game itself you're left with interstate traffic and gastropubs.

I work in New Orleans and you’re correct the roads by itself are horrible. It’s truly unbelievable the amount of neglect the politicians have for the city they live and work in.

The rumor has been that if the SECCG rotates away from ATL, then the ACC might move in to take it. Not sure why the SEC and ACC couldn’t agree to a rotation.

Because screw the ACC. Book the dome that weekend anyway. Money to blow now.

might as well move it to Eastern Kansas to be centrally located after we add Southern Cal, Hawaii, and a brand new FBS team from Alaska.

This is exactly why the SEC hasn't rotated it out of Atlanta in the past. ATL is by far the most important city to this conference and they are not going to allow any openings for the ACC to grab any share of it beyond purely whatever GT fans there are.

It will definitely be interesting to see the power struggle between ATL, Houston, and Dallas over this conference. 3 powerhouse, insanely growing, 6 million + cities in a conference that is used to only controlling one mega-city.

It needs to stay in ATL because that's the only way the state of Georgia will get to see a champion up close (in any sport, amateur or pro).
