I have heard numerous times from several different LSU and AU fans that their Universities were better than UA.

while I think all the schools are very similar. Bama gets the nod on a few things to elevate them in these polls that really don't have anything to do with academics.

these polls suck anyways. very arbitrary on a lot of the factors

I can't recall a time where I've studies regularly, but I do well anyway. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who just don't study and still don't do well.

My opinion: with the exception of Vanderbilt, we're all pretty much the same. Degrees from any school will be viewed the same in-state, and viewed the same out of state. Really not a big difference- Grad school is more important anyway

Probably has to do with how we let in several thousand more freshman than we should have.

Bama is making great strides though to better their image and standing. My brother is law works closely with UA and is involved with a lot of the expansion and he was told that UA wants to increase enrollment to 55,000 and that is the cut off. UA grew so much over my last 4 years there and its affecting the area surrounding campus and making it better.

I was actually surprised to see this. When I was in Knoxville I thought it was a nice campus. Though it was gameday and full of people, so maybe that blocked my view.

Certain degrees carry more weight than others but for the most part as long as you have a 4 year degree you're good in todays world. Its hard to beat Auburns pharmacy school or Culverhouse College of Commerce.
