Education? How about severe punishment...No more eligibility for that athlete?

Brendan Sorsby should never be allowed to play college football again.

This worked great with D.A.R.E. in school. No one does drugs today!

Shameful that all Greg Sankey is doing is politely asking athletes not to gamble. Not surprising though.

Schools have been educating student athletes on eligibility rules for years. This included gambling. The only thing new is a specific educational video. How innovating.

The difference is that gambling is pretty harmful (not saying drugs aren’t, D.A.R.E. was just absurdly over the top). It’s absurdly easy for gambling to absolutely wreck the integrity of a given sport.

Pretty sure this is the SEC just reinforcing the 0 tolerance policy.

It's more so poking fun at them making a bunch of college kids watch a video like it's going to alter their decision making in any way.

Sounds like this is a preventative measure to keep it from getting to that point. Half of these players can’t spell their own names, much less navigate gambling rules for recently legalized online betting.

I got $10 that says that almost none of them actually watch the video.

Worth noticing that this is the exact kind of thing big companies require of their employees when they have some issue. I’ve clicked on buttons related to a fair number of stupid required videos at my work.
