I imagine most numbers will be worse this year as a whole just because there are no non-conference cupcakes to help out.

The WR depth is insane this year and of course that doesn’t include the few studs that opted out. When you got the Pirate, Lane and Drink replacing 3 more conservative coaches it makes sense.

DBU has more to do with which school has produced the best/most NFL defensive backs than how the college defenses themselves perform.

It sickens me that we (MSU) have a dang good defense and Leach can’t get the offense to even be decent. Just average 24 offensive points a game and we are undefeated. 
And pre season we thought the defense would be our weak spot and would win or lose in mostly shoot outs

You're looking at the wrong stat. The goal isn't to limit your opponents yards, it's to limit their points.
