Okay? That doesn't prove that LSU coaxed these guys to sue the conference. You seem confused as to what the suit is alleging.
You seem confused. The suit says that Kiffin recruited them to come to LSU when they were still on an NFL roster. It is clear somebody did as Pyborg announced he was headed to LSU if he got waived by the NFL team he was on at the time. If there is a message from Kiffin to any of them to file a lawsuit in order to regain their eligibility so they can return to play at LSU there is no way to spin it. None. Something like a “hey, what are you planning to do if you get waived?” would be easy to overcome. But any message about filing a lawsuit so they can return to play at LSU will be a nail in their coffin. And spoiler alert, there is a rumor that the SEC has such a message.
If you would like to read the lawsuit you linked, here is the first paragraph.
quote:
“ Defendants waged a deliberate and coordinated campaign to recruit professional athletes to play football for LSU during the 2026-27 season, including players who had signed NFL contracts with the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” the SEC said in its complaint, filed Thursday.
On a somewhat LSU related note, do you not get tired of losing? You get knocked down time after time but you keep getting right back up.

Pretty sure none of these players are kids. Someone should ask the lawyer how much the players make from taking money from children's hospitals.

I wonder what the LOLSU players think about all of this mess knowing that their season could hang in the balance? Will they still get the money they were promised? Will they be allowed to change schools? Will any future recruits want to even consider signing up for LOLSU?

Then judge said "I get what you're trying to ask and I see that he is not going to answer, but I understand his answer. He is going to follow the rules and the bylaws until the point that he is not going to follow them anymore"
They're dragging Sankey

So your thought is that the SEC wins if there are messages saying the players should sue the NCAA?

Oh well. It all depends on your perspective.

I genuinely do feel bad for the reasonable LSU fans, which believe it or not are a majority of their fans. Not a majority on Tigerdroppings but a majority attending games and tailgating on Saturdays
now look most people on the sec rant have been completely unreasonable about kiffin taking a better job too. because in the end, its a fricking job period. take all the feelings of it out, its a fricking job. Ole miss fans especially
just like my fellow LSU fans need to take their feelings out of it and stop trying to be rebels like stupid fricks. saying stupid shite like the SEC has hated us for years. WTF?? yea im sure the sec hates a school that makes them shite tons of money. thats a worse take then most ole miss fans have. fricking delusional take. just like the takes that we could go independent....fricking retarded
at the same time the notion that the SEC is goign to kick LSU out is just as bad of a take. the sec cant due to contracts, same with the takes that nobody will play LSU....fricking stupid
but this shite is a terrible look on the university. just like the basketball thing was a bad look for bama. its fricking dumbass takes
and to be fair, LSU isnt the only one but like it or not, we are the face of it and we need to drop the shite. the juice aint close to being worth the squeeze

No lawyer, but not sure how...
Violates the SECs first amendment rights. Especially if said recruiting was before the new rule was made. Couldn't LSU argue the sec is doing the same?
Seems like a reach

I don't think the SEC hates LSU but you can't argue the fact that Alabama played a pro basketball player with no repercussions from the conference while LSU gets sued just for seemingly thinking about it.

Once they are no longer members of the Conference?

South Carolina got a commitment from a kicker that was in minicamp during the middle of the court case while Sankey was on the stand.
