Ole Miss fans...

Is the Tad Pad really as dark as it looks on TV/pictures? It always looks halfway lit up.

The Tad Pad does what BWA does, just light the court during play.

SC is pretty bad too.

How is Colonial Life Arena bad? It's got the third largest capacity at 18000 and is only nine years old, so it's not run down. It also has a really nice layout. Even from the upper deck the view of the court is great. There isn't a bad seat in the house...

Well, for starters, your jumbotron/scoreboard is from 1996.

Just very very outdated when most others have HD boards and most with LED ribbons attached at the top and bottom. I'd bet SC has a new one soon.

Well you haven't been in awhile, because the PMAC has been completely renovated inside and out. LSU actually reduced the capacity in order to put in more comfortable seating and utilize better sightlines. The concourse has been completely renovated and now features new video and graphic displays, renovated concession stands and video kiosks.

The most exciting addition is the new attached NBA-style basketball practice facility, something very few SEC teams have. Reportedly the whole facility was paid for by Shaquille O'Neal, whose statue is outside the entrance:

Besides the two full-size practice courts, the new practice facility features a Media Room, Team Lounge, Training Room, Laundry Facility, Coach's Locker Room and storage areas.

The best part though is the enormous new NBA-style Locker Rooms for both the men's and women's teams. When LSU basketball teams take to the court, they do so from the new and spacious locker rooms in the addition.

I think Gottlieb said Mizzou has the nicest arena in the SEC.

I've only been to ours so I can't really agree with him. Just throwing it out there.

LSU PMac spaceship stadium is ugly. And I'm a huge LSU homer for everything.

Tennessee has the "nicest" arena IMO.

Kentucky has the best overall arena if you factor in gameday experience.

Even Rupp is old and outdated and is getting a planned facelift I believe somewhat soon.

They did some renovations in recent years to keep it serviceable but it does have a major one coming up in a few years.

This is the floor they installed in the Rupp locker rooms recently.

Is Ole Miss' new arena already haunted?

I take it you have not been in TB since the upgrade? As a venue it is pretty nice if you wear sunglasses from all that orange glare.

yeah, I like the look of LSU's facilities on the outside, I was referring to the inside, just looked old and rundown, no suites either. There's no reason LSU shouldn't have a top team and facility IMO, just need the right coach

Seems like LSU has been very lazy when it comes to Basketball lately. Obviously Trent didn't work out, he was iffy on the X's and O's and couldn't recruit worth a shite. We are pretty hopefully Jones will be better, at least our recruiting looks to have turned around.

As far as the PMAC, it does need some love. We added on a new practice facility that is pretty badass, but we definitely need to do some serious upgrading on the inside.

PMAC is fine and the basketball facilities expansion is pretty nice if you get inside for a visit.

What is delaying our new arena, has a lot to do with Nutt's buyout. I heard our AD talking on a podcast that a certain buyout from a former coach was keeping Ole Miss behind on their start of a new arena and expansion to Vaught Hemingway.

WTF are you talking about dumass? South Carolina's Colonial Life Arena is one of the newest, largest, most modern facilities in the country. It was designed and built by the identical same architects and engineers that built your Bud Walton Arena, and for that matter was built by many of the same contractors a mere nine years ago. MASH HERE Frank Martin said it is as nice as any he's ever been in. Matter of fact, it is almost identical to Bud Walton in every way - it's like a twin. The only difference might be our four-sided score boards where your's is shaped like a basketball net and ours are four big screens shaped like an upside down pyramid.

Now, if you are talking about why it is only half full in the picture that was shown, which you are not, it is because it is during warm-ups, obviously. But we've sucked the last few years under Darren Horn since sharing the Eastern Division Title his first year, and attendance was dwindling under Horn.

That's definitely not a recent photo of Reed.

1. Too many people in the stands.

2. We've drastically reduced the size of the logo in the center of the court.
