Its not, but depending on how you go to the stadium, you go through some of the worst parts of town.
How do you get to the stadium? Maybe you should try a more direct route.

It looks like I won't be able to use my two lower level west side tickets for the game. I should know for certain tomorrow or Thursday.

What was the name of that old bar on the square you had to walk down the stairs and into the bar? It had a pool table in the back, small band area and trough style bathrooms. This would be 2000 or 1999.
Between 1999 and 2000 the bar located downstairs of the Old Post Office Building on the square was Hog City. I think I still have a plastic cup or two from that place laying around.

Off Topic - NWA Gutter Repair
Posted by whoopspig on 6/5/13 at 6:49 am
I came home from vacation the other day to find that last week's storms had blown a tree limb onto my house, bending the gutter and knocking it a bit loose.
Does anyone have any recommendations for someone to call so I can see if this is something I can have repaired vs. replaced?
Thanks.

re: Parking for Basketball game.

This may be too late for you, but I received this e-mail yesterday:
UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS MEN'S BASKETBALL
Men's Basketball Game Day Update
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The University of Arkansas men's basketball team is set to play Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, March 2, at Bud Walton Arena with a 3 p.m. tip and fans planning to attend the game are encouraged to arrive early due to events that are happening around the venue. Doors to Bud Walton Arena will open at 1:30 p.m., and the game is sold out of public reserved tickets.
Along with the Razorback game, Fayetteville High School is hosting the Arkansas State High School Basketball Tournament and the Razorback softball team is hosting the Woo Pig Classic. The events will increase the volume of traffic on roads surrounding their venues which will make for longer than usual travel times to Bud Walton Arena.
The high school tournament will also restrict access to some pay-to-park lots that are typically used for Bud Walton Arena traffic, so alternate parking may need to be found. Additional parking lots on the University of Arkansas campus that can be used include Lot 72 (west of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium), Lot 44 (North of DWRRS) and the Stadium Drive parking deck.
For more information regarding Razorback men's basketball or University of Arkansas athletics, please visit ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
Good luck!

Wrestling before lacrosse. The south has some great hot beds for wrestling, but many kids do not go on to wrestle in college because it means going North or to a small school.
Wrestling hot beds in the south? Just to clarify, I don't think they're talking about Jerry Lawler.
re: Non-Sports: Gun Bill Would Curb U.S. Firearm Laws in Arkansas

The "Wyoming measure" would be unconstitutional under the Supremecy Clause. The 10th Amendment doesn't give state's the ability to decide which federal laws will apply. But, at least it wouldn't result in a huge waste of taxpayer money defending it in courts like all the stupid stuff that apparently Oklahoma is doing.
If federal law made owning an assault weapon illegal, the federal government could enforce that law and prosecute it through the federal courts. The "Wyoming measure" is just a ploy to get votes from people who don't know any better.
