ASU = win. WE had that game last year, but their QB was 6'8!
So Mizz lost to ASU because thier qb was 6'8? Yeah that makes sense.

Sounds like a legit reason

Mallett was 6'8", he was pretty good. I need to call Muschamp and tell him to start Patric Young at QB not Brissett or Driskel

Mallett was 6'6.
Tall QB doesn't mean they are good. Mallett was the #2 QB in the nation /#4 prospect in the entire nation coming out of high school. So yea, he was good.

Jesus, it was a joke. During the game all they talked about was how Oswailer was 6'8. We lost that game because our kicker was off balance with the cast he had on his hand. Or because Pinkel iced him....
In reality it was because our DB's forgot to look for the ball in coverage.

In my opinion what will create the biggest problem for Mizz and TAM is the weekly grind of the SEC. A lot of teams are good but the SEC has a lot of good teams.
I think Mizz or TAM are good teams with talent and can beat anybody in the SEC on the right weekend but can they do it again next weekend and the next and the next and the next. I think the weekly grind is the difficulty of the SEC.

Reports from first practice is that SEC move is paying off nicely. Players are reported to be 10-15% faster. We should be good to go.

Mizzou won't do better than 3-5 and Vandy and A&M will be hard enough as it is and I am giving you the benefit of the doubt just cause they are home games.
Mizzou tops 6-6 likely 5-7.

BamaScoop = SEC Depth. Noted. Tend to agree with your assessment. Still worried up front for us though. Still think we're good for 8-4. Hope you're ready for a fun game at COMO. I know I'm looking forward to it. We need to keep our win streak against you intact...

Yeah, well unlike you I don't base my knowledge of a football program on some YouTube videos that Johnny Reacharound posts so he can show off his A/V skills. Obviously, you are not worth my time until 2013 when you have actually seen MIZ and aTm play. Carry on. Glad you got high speed Internet though. Good job.
Somebody is mad mad. I think videos of your practice are a good indication of the size athlete you have. Which is small and puny. Cool burn on the high speed internet though.

I agree that the difference is along the DL
Mingo > James
This is just the highlight example of what people are talking about. LSU and Bama get the glory for great DL's, but the conference actually has probably 8 of the top 12-15 DLs in the country. This is the point that Mizzou/A&M fans often fail to comprehend IMO. To truly understand what it means, you've got to look at the depth of the conference. For example:
MSU has been a "mid pack" SEC DL under Mullen. Rated #7 of 14 coming into this year by ESPN. In 3 years @ State we've produced(out of 6 total graduates):
Starting DE New England Patriots Kyle Love
Starting DE Baltimore Ravens Pernell McPhee
First round DT Philadelphia Eagles Fletcher Cox
UDFA camp invitee DE Buffalo Bills Sean Ferguson
We've got no fewer than 5 future NFL DL on roster currently, possibly as many as 7 or 8. Our 2-deep contains 2 5*s, 5 4*s, 3 3*s(all 3* guys in 3rd yr or older). That's good enough for 7th best in this league...

Nicely played sow pig...how in the frick do we know that we are 10-15% faster. BTW, I had one compliment for a sow fan. Just used it.

Engie...this is what bothers me. The spread really sends the OL to some weird spots, SEC SPEED will over run us at times. Gotta hope that the speed in other places helps, cause that's gonna happen at times. Nice post.

I like Mizzou. I think the first four SEC games will be brutal, maybe 1-3. The back half of your schedule you could make a run. I could see 4-4. As said a few post earlier, it' wouldn't be crazy for Mizzou to steal a big upset at some point. But it will be the next week, and the week after that that will prove your strength. You can't just set your eyes on Alabama when you have to play S Carolina this week, and then you might travel to the Swamp the week after a big SEC win. Also, it's the depth of talent that these teams have. In a full season of physical games, people will get hurt. Mizzou might match up 1-22, but 23-40 will be counted on to hold their ground. Take LSU for example, last year we had to play Auburn minus 3 starters,2 in the secondary, and yet LSU still pummeled a bowl winner in Auburn by 40 points.
Urban Meyer admitted that he had to tweak his offense after the first year. In year one they would get matchups that he felt certain would favor the offense (rb on lb, wr on safety, unblocked defensive ends on the backside) and yet his ball carriers couldn't shake loose. Of course, Urban adjusted and his Florida talent was more than fast enough to make it work.

This is the most insane sled I've ever seen as a Mizzou fan. that being said, I still think we'll surprise y'all.
