Depends what school. tOSU and UM have always struck me as "fast" teams, but outside of that, not really. Speed is pretty much universal in the SEC.

Its actually a myth. Do not try to duplicate speed agility drills in practice. But please try to show up for your UGA game.

OSU thought they were fast until we played them in the National Championship game. They were wrong.

I'd say everywhere on defense in the SEC

DL are huge and fast. LSU's DL was chasing down Oregon's fast offense.

LBs are not human. Alabama's LB corp is proof.

DBs get to the ball quick if the runner gets to the second level, or speed up with the quickness to defend a pass.

On Saturday watch a game from any other conference, then turn on the SEC matchup on CBS and watch the defenses. It's not even comparable.

I am lead to believe that the SEC SPEED argument is most relevant on the lines. Big and fast. Is the speed everywhere or just more obvious up front? Mizzou has speed all over the place, so I'm curious. I still think the secret of dominance of the SEC resides in their depth. If you had to pick one, which will create the most problems for MIZ and aTM?

No, it is not the speed. No, it is not the size. No, it is not the strength. No, it is not the depth. What it is is the combination of all of those attributes at every possition on the field. At the risk of being called a Gump, I will use Coach Saban's words. It is not the top 40 guys on your roster that determine how good your team is, it is the bottom 40.

In the meat grinder that is the SEC, by the end of the season that bottom 40 will be providing the puzzle pieces to fill out your 2 deep depth chart. Will those players from your bottom 40 still have speed, size, strength required to win on Saturday?

The next question, how does your spread system give your defense a realistic view of what they will be facing on Saturday?

Can your 3rd string tailback pretend to be a 4.65 speed 245# tailback taught to run on the hip of his 6'5" 320# pulling guard? May be slow for a tailback but he was taught to wait for your 182# DB to choose which side of the guard to take on before he breaks for the endzone. If your DB escapes the guard it will still take him 25 yards to catch the slow RB from behind.

Going with 5-3. I'll keep it simple with losses. USCe Bama FLA

No way. You'll lose to UGA. Who will probably be in the SEC title game for East. Also I see a lose to Tenn as well. At Tenn and coming off a physical road game at Florida the week before. It's a fricking grind week in and out.

I'll give you 3-5. But like u said it will be hard to beat aTm 3 in a row so 2-6 s not out of the question. IMO.
