Didn't Georgia almost elect Stacey Abrams?
I've noticed Georgia fans carry a lot of shame about that and the 2020 election. They often try to deflect it by taking shots at Texas.

Same for UGA in Athens and at Univ of Southern California here in Los Angeles. Same for what's going on @UCLA, too.

Dude you had it going till you posted this. The Texas state government is specifically designed to prevent overreach.
What is going on within the shithole that the area around the Austin campus has become is another story...

Fake news. Austin liberals, most of which are not UT students
I’ve zero doubt non-UTex students were involved; but it’s certainly not “fake news” to point out the reality that UTex students also participated. If one-half weren’t UTex students … one-half were.
Austin isn’t the sole locale for these encampments and protests—I’d bet most campuses across the country have seen a pro-Palestine rally of some sort. But geez, UTex is one heckuva sexy draw for folks who support this madness. I feel badly for the horns who aren’t freaks, as the number of non-nut jobs continues to dwindle.

Twenty-five students form a barricade at Inner Campus Drive, attempting to block a bus transporting arrested protesters. Law enforcement announces protesters have “two minutes” to clear, and then drive motorcycles into the protester barricade.
4:32 p.m.
Law enforcement starts pepper spraying protesters. Two flash bangs are set off.
“I had no idea this absolute monstrosity of a response was what was on the horizon,” said Bethany Epstein, a physics graduate student who was pepper sprayed by police twice during today’s protests.

The letter urged the University to not pursue criminal charges against those arrested and to not discipline community members involved in both the protest on Wednesday and a subsequent teach-in on Thursday.

Again.. why in the frick are political posts allowed on this forum? Our country is going to shite.. across the board.. both sides.. and if I wanted to read about that, I would go over to the political board..
This has absolutely nothing to do with SEC sports.. nada.. zilch..

The fake news is that there is an 'encampment' on the UT campus, there is not. There are protests occurring, as there are at almost every school in the country.

Omgggg this place has been this way for YEARS. Of course you entitled little twats can’t handle the smack talk on this board and want to cry about “rules”. Can’t wait to see how you cry when the football season starts up. There are very little rules here and hardly any of them get enforced. Leave if you don’t like it.

If you haven’t noticed, very little of what is posted here about Texas A&M University and our students is sports-related.
I look forward to you calling out this injustice in the future.
