How did Texas get such a cake walk of a schedule
After we beat Aggie, our schedule just got even easier.
This really is rocket science for you tractor-pull wrasslin' fans.

Good to see South Carolina again. Always a fun game. I hear any time the two teams play, each exit will have oxygen machines and an AED machine under every seat.

Every team has starters out so does Texas. Are you not deep? All I heard was how deep the sec was on your rosters.
Mertz tore his ACL against Tennessee.
Lagway pulled his hamstring against Georgia.
If you really think Florida had a shot of keeping that game close by playing a 3rd string walk-on QB, then I can't discuss football with you.

A) recruit better depth along your entire team, especially wb. Our 3rd string qb is a 4-5 star.
B) its Texas fault you had injuries? So you are just assuming with Lagway you win, especially when Flordia has not had a great year (schedule obviously part of it).
C) you very likely would be 10-14point dogs with your starters because we were at home and we have a top 3 defense.

Cancel perm rivals. Everyone rotate through all teams evenly.
Yeah, let’s get rid of bands and fight songs and mascots and school colors and everything else that makes college football what it is. Hell, let’s just move games out of small towns like Oxford and Auburn and move all games to big cities.
Might as well get rid of student sections too. Sell those seats for the most we can get for them.
Pep rally? nope
Homecoming queen? gone

So TX gets a joke schedule 2 straight years to start SEC play?
Is going to the Swamp easy? Always heard it was a tough place to play.

Conference realignment killed college sports by destroying rivalries. Arkansas & Nebraska could put together a masterclass on why cutting off regional rivalries to become the new kid on the block completely fricks your program over.
The only reason I was OK with joining the SEC is because we get our 3 games with the inbred methhead sister and sheep frickers.
Getting to periodically play Bama, Georgia, LSU, etc is the bonus.

I’m fine with our schedule. Sucks to suck. Just win and stop being a loser.

Why is the SEC so weak? This used to be a tough schedule:
Texas A&M
Arkansas
Georgia
Florida
Oklahoma
Texas A&M
Arkansas
Georgia
Florida
Oklahoma

This is because your “rivalries” are more like showcases meant to prop up both programs instead of tear each other apart. Even your fans on here will elevate AR and OU amongst anyone else. A&M may be an exception.
Leaving KU in the B12 cellar and laughing at them has been the best part of our rivalry. As much as I didn’t like TX and OU being in the SEC, making the B12 even worse made it worth while.

Of course I was going overboard. But, if you don’t understand the importance of rivalries in the SEC, and in college football in general, then you don’t understand college football.
It’s more about the pageantry and history and bragging rights than championships. Otherwise schools like South Carolina, State, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Arkansas etc might as well just quit playing.
The current relentless push for an undisputed national champion is ruining college football. Why? Because it’s really about money, not championships. But, the horse is out of the barn now, I guess.

I was told this is normal SEC grind
