Week 12 is going to be legit. Weeks 8 and 9 aren’t bad either

this intrigues me. Obviously we don't noramlly get a 2nd bonus bye but I wonder how the dynamic of that changes with AU having a bye before us.

Why does Bama play @South Carolina?

South Carolina has played in Tuscaloosa since 2009. Last time we played y'all was in Williams-Brice.

Happened before the latest expansion. The schedule rotation essentially started over in 2013 after the bridge year of 2012 in year 1 of expansion.

we are also at GA Tech, who admittedly sucks this year, and get Notre Dame's return trip to Athens add in Arkansas State, a decent mid-major, and we have a decent schedule

we don't deserve to be on the "laugh at schools for shitty scheds" list for next year

THIS YEAR? yes, our schedule sucks

State's Home schedule next year is pretty nice

Southern Miss
Kansas State
Kentucky
LSU
Bama
Abeline Christian
Ole Miss

Add in road trips to
NOLA vs UL in the Superdome
Tennessee in Neyland

Because if the game was in Tuscaloosa, Bama would have both east opponents at home.

Same reason the Auburn/Georgia game got screwed up with the back to back games in Auburn and the home/home road/road split of DSOR and IB.

Ole miss has an open date before the egg bowl. I guess it’s good we play Abilene Christian and not another SEC team so we can rest some guys if needed as well

Duke and Texas had the same record last year (7-6). This year Duke is 3-0 and Texas is 2-1.

Texas is not back.

Duke has been to bowls in 5 of the last 6 seasons, soon to be 6 of the last 7.

They are a sucky week 1 opponent for us, but LOL at acting like they are some giant step down from shitty arse Texas.

We actually do too next year with two of them on the road. Pretty absurd

that's the key part though. Yall have played excellent OOC matchups under saban (or big name ones anyway) so it's not like it's unprecedented, and this matchup was annoucned in fall of 2016. There's simply no reason to play a game like that if you're at the all-universe level that bama is. Either go back to scheduling big time games (clemson/PSU/FSU/etc) or the cupcake games. IMO.

The SEC office conspired with the refs to make AU play three straight SEC away games and 4 out of 5. Our schedule is always so strange.

Aug. 31 vs. Oregon (Dallas)
Sept. 7 TULANE
Sept. 14 KENT STATE
Sept. 21 at Texas A&M
Sept. 28 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Oct. 5 at Florida
Oct. 12 Open Date
Oct. 19 at Arkansas
Oct. 26 at LSU
Nov. 2 OLE MISS
Nov. 9 Open Date
Nov. 16 GEORGIA
Nov. 23 SAMFORD
Nov. 30 ALABAMA

STFU! I am so sick of Auburn fans and their damn schedule. Florida sucks and Arkansas sucks. Plus Auburn has a bye week in the middle of that three game stretch, which really isn't that hard other than LSU. If you want to have a more level schedule then talk to the SEC office about moving Georgia to earlier or give UGA two straight home games like Auburn received a few years back.
