Going to 9 games with a 6-2-1 format fixes all issues.

Move SEC offices out of Tuscaloosa to New Orleans, a neutral site. Yeah, that's the ticket.
So the SEC office is in Tuscaloosa?....maybe we could get Ray Nagin or Edwin Edwards to run it then.

What happens when we play a 9 game schedule and the winner of the SEC has 2 losses? They'll be out of the playoffs because they played a tougher schedule than the other leagues.

I posted this in another thread, but makes sense to me:

North:

Vandy
UGa
Mizzou
Tenn
Ky
Bama
AU

South:
LSU
aTm
UF
Miss St
OM
Ark
Scar

That way the TSIO & DSOR are in division. The only team not making total geographic sense is Arky in the South, but it would maintain their historical matchups against the Aggies and LSU.

ETA: I just realized this negates the WLOCP as an in-division game.

No fricks Given. Auburn will line up and play anybody. We used to play UT, Florida, Bama and Georgia every single year. LSU too most years.

Yea, I'm sure LSU would love that realignment.

That's not going to happen. Schedules will trend tougher because of the playoff. The PAC and B1G are already going to play 9 games and no FCS. The ACC is also likely going to 9 games as well. If everyone plays 9 conf games, no FCS teams, and one "good" OOC game then we will all be on the same plane.

The fact that the SEC is tougher is what will help us get that second team in the playoff from time to time, it won't keep a 2 loss team out.

No reshuffling of divisions, no changing of permanent opponents are needed. This is the easiest fix in the world. Your SEC record is calculated by your division wins and losses. That's it, the end. Any person that thinks that is a bad idea is a tard.

I say schedule LSU vs Bama twice. That way we could hear the swamp kittie meltdown three times a season... twice for the losses to Bama on the field and once for all the recruiting losses off the field.

8 games has worked for us before. Just because the other conferences go to a 9 game schedule doesn't mean we have to. It's already the toughest conference in the nation. Why make the challenge even harder by adding an extra conference game.

Big 6 would be broken up 5/1.

Sorry but we don't want LSU in the SECC every year.

8 game conference schedules means cross division opponents (other than permanent obviously) rotate onto a schedule once every 12 years. That's bullshite.

Fine, let's go to a 9 game schedule and beat the shite out of each other and get left out of the playoffs to undefeated teams and 1 loss teams. Now that's some bullshite.

Are you serious? A 2 loss SEC champion would get the nod over a one loss team that didn't win their conference.

I personally think getting rid of permanent cross divisional opponents is a good thing. We just don't have enough games to have 1 permanent cross opponent and 1 rotating cross opponents

that would mean you play a non permeament teaming the east 2 out of every 12 years, and that is ridiculous.

I do understand the importance of Bama-Tenn and AU- UGA. so something would need to be figured out I don't know if this is the answer.

I never said they would not get in over a 1 loss team that didn't win their conference. I'm saying that if the other four conference champs only have 1 loss then the 2 loss SEC team would be out.
