Lord no. Screw losing Bama, AU, and UF every year.

Win a conference title (National titles aren't ever going to happen again) or hell a BCS bowl post-integration and you'll be interesting.

Ole Miss football is like Minnesota football- occasionally decent but always looking back at the good ol' days.

But hey you guys were awesome when only white people played SEC football.

Pretty sure south Carolina and Arkansas are rivals, not south Carolina and a&m.

Seriously, why don't y'all just go independent and just play Louisiana schools 12 times a fall?

No tOSU already has that schtick. Although it would be a very easy schedule it would be boring.

Damn straight! Plus without VU and UK there would be no SEC. Vandy was the brain trust that started it and Kentucky was neutral enough to be the first president of the SEC.

Best scenario is to add NC State and Virginia Tech and go to four pods.

SEC NE would be

Vandy
KY
Va Tech
Tennessee

Seriously? You now have put 4 of the top 6 (UGA/TN/Bama/AU) all together & only 2 in the other.
Also, check a map - UGA is further south than SC.

The only good thin about this setup is you haven't cut a state in 1/2 & putting 1 school in each division like other suggestions.

&, you're right - ain't no way in Hell is TWLOCP going to be dropped yearly.

That's not going to happen. Schedules will trend tougher because of the playoff. The PAC and B1G are already going to play 9 games and no FCS. The ACC is also likely going to 9 games as well. If everyone plays 9 conf games, no FCS teams, and one "good" OOC game then we will all be on the same plane.

8 games has worked for us before. Just because the other conferences go to a 9 game schedule doesn't mean we have to. It's already the toughest conference in the nation. Why make the challenge even harder by adding an extra conference game.

Because it's stupid to increase the conference by 2 schools & take 12 YEARS to cycle through the other division. You INCREASE schools, you INCREASE # of games.

Seriously? You thinking like those Miss. schools who ONLY schedule to get enough wins to be bowl eligible (6)?

I personally think getting rid of permanent cross divisional opponents is a good thing. We just don't have enough games to have 1 permanent cross opponent and 1 rotating cross opponents

that would mean you play a non permeament teaming the east 2 out of every 12 years, and that is ridiculous.

I do understand the importance of Bama-Tenn and AU- UGA. so something would need to be figured out I don't know if this is the answer.

Then what is the answer? It's NOT going to be dropping cross-division rivalries. It's NOT going to be dropping games to "whenever they're played". It's NOT going to be playing conference opponents & NOT have it count as a conference game. So..........

some variation of this is the best option available with 14 teams. It balances teh schedules and rotates every team through every other team in the SEC in only four years (including a home and away game).

Actually, I'ld love to see something like that implemented.

The ONLY drawback is this thread of yearly games: TN-Ala-Aub-UGA-UF....& MSU-Ala-Aub-UGA-UF

Not everybody is happy. You've also put 5 of the top 6 in the Greek division. Also, TN/Vandy & Ole Miss./MSU won't go for not playing each other yearly. That's why we're going to have to keep the pairs of TN/Vandy, Ole Miss/MSU, & Ala./Aub. in the same division for that in-state rivalry.

Before seeing this, I thought switch USC and MSU. Is Vandy and UT really that important?
