Texas & OU took the first step in joining the league today. The second step is applying for membership, which is expected but hasn't yet happened as of Monday at 5 ET.

The third step: SEC presidential vote.

If Texas is voted in, this conference is fricked. That is all.

How so? I know this greatly changes the landscape of college football forever with the realignment into superconferences, but what do you see as issues?

You and your fan base have battered wife syndrome. It's absolutely pathetic at this point. I felt bad for you guys back in 2011 but holy shite it's been 10 years.

You’re an A&M fan, you’re new and lucky to be here. Don’t speak on what’s good for the SEC unless us traditional members ask you.

Thanks.

1. I agree 100%.

2. I know the SEC is already the toughest conference in the country. If you add 2 more elite athletic programs, it will be the SEC and then everybody else.

3. Speaking of Texas, they have literally destroyed every conference they have been a member of. This should obviously be of great concern to everyone here.

4. Referring back to 3, I wouldn't have any concern about adding OU and OSU if they were to be considered.

5. To the Troll above you, go drink some anti-freeze!

I understand your concern but stop it. If tu tries to throw their “weight” around the SEC is going to tell them that dog won’t hunt. Their pompous arse bullshite isn’t going to fly in the SEC. Also almost every team in the conference is light years ahead of tu in terms of depth in the trenches. It’ll be enjoyable watching them struggle with a week to week SEC schedule for a few years. I’m excited to see the rivalry renewed, it’ll be good for football. frick tu, Saw ‘Em Off

It would be funny to let Texas and OU announce they won’t renew in 2025 then vote no on SEC membership and leave them with their pants down holding their dick

I fully expect OU and TU to be members of the SEC next year.
