These predictions mean diddly squat...a lot of football left.
That prediction is based on UF losing to the girls school at end of the year...nope...we take em down in the Swamp.
Our team has a lot of true frosh playing...talented frosh, who will be experienced by the time WLOCP rolls around. Our DL is a strength....if we just keep them off the field more and rest them...Del Rio is the experienced jr QB who is calm and understands how to read defenses and set protection schemes. Cleveland Toney and Davis along with Brandon Powell will stretch defenses.

I would take that right now in a heartbeat.

Who are the three wins for Ole Miss in conference play? I don't think they win a conference game.

How can A&M be 8-4 with 5 conference losses?
Posted on 9/29/17 at 10:11 am to SummerOfGeorge
>UK 4-4 in conf
So I'm assuming they have us beating vandy and mizzou, and Tennessee. Doubt it. We'll find a way to lose against Lyle again

His comment was dumb and just isn't true as stated, of course we could afford it monetarily. The question is can Long's ego or the slight blemish in the public eye be afforded.

I could be eating crow after this, but I think A&M wins a few more than two. I think we win this weekend against USC, we have a good chance against Florida, beat one of the Mississippi schools, and... maybe LSU?
Okay, probably not the last one in light of recent years. Still, I think this team is better than we think. They're not great, but they are not complete trash.
Sumlin is most likely still gone in my scenario, but at least we have a team to pull for.
I'm, a fan of course, so my perspective is very biased.
I think you're right, and I think Sumlin survives an 8-4 year, if it's a "good" 8-4. I don't think he survives 7-5.

Vanderbilt and two of LSU, Arkansas, A&M and MSU. I'd be surprised if they didn't win at least that much.

Okay, probably not the last one in light of recent years.
If A&M can't beat this LSU team, they might never beat one again. I'm counting A&M among the four tossup games we have in the SEC this year, and I'm hoping we can manage to win two of those to finish 2-6 in the SEC and qualify for a bowl. There hasn't been a better opportunity for A&M than this since they joined the SEC, and it may be a while before there is another one as good.

I just don't see our swiss cheese defense as able to shut down your high powered offense. Won't happen.

Why wasn't he starting ahead of your freshman QN earlier? Getting more experience? Or maybe he was having panic attacks, but has them under control now?

They're looking great so far this year, aren't they? It's a miracle anybody has been able to stop your offense with all those weapons.

Oh, thanks.
I saw the bowl and playoff prediction which would have Bama beating Georgia.

Bye Bert, Sumlin, and Butch. Odom and Luke, we hardly knew ye, thanks for the memories.
And Orgeron would already have a smelting-hot seat, and that's IF they don't pull a stunner and tell him to kick rocks after one season. I think he'd at least get one more since some powerful people would have to admit that they were completely wrong in that scenario, but LSU fans would have an itchy trigger finger waiting to burn BR to the ground.
Gus would be saved and AU fans would have a lot of renewed enthusiasm, then promptly begin talking about how they'll be back to competing with Bama again the next season. Stoops would get a raise and extension, and deservedly so. Mason wont, but he'll also be commended on making Vandy competitive and continue to slowly build them up the following season(s) until someone poaches him.
McElwain will survive to see another season with a pretty short leash, and those same results would send him packing if it were to happen in the following season. Muschamp will remain steady with no real action, while SCar fans continue to be the IRL version of the emoticon.
All in all there will be a LOT of upheaval in the SEC coaching ranks this offseason with a lot more after the 2018 season potentially.
