Sure seems that way

Teams that lost, keeping it from being an all SEC final in Omaha:

Texas
Ole Miss
Georgia
Alabama
Mississippi State
Vanderbilt

The other teams would’ve lost to either LSU or Arkansas eventually anyway.

I don’t think it was overrated I think some of those teams flat out CHOKED! UTSA just got manhandled by UCLA. The #2 overall national seed got beat
2-0 by UTSA. Inexcusable ! Vandy must have been worn out from their “big” sec tournament win and they choked ! Auburn and Georgia just don’t have the pedigree to get to the next level.

I think that most of them were paired with other SEC teams in the Regionals and Super Regionals. They were eliminated by self attrition.

This is why most teams rest their starters.

That's only accurate for Tennessee.

The only SEC team eliminated by another SEC team was Tennessee

Everyone else sucked too much to make it to the super regionals to have a chance to knock out another SEC team

I do not like nor do I trust this newfound love fest that Arkansas fans suddenly have with LSU. We are mortal enemies this week and yet not a single shite post from either fan.

One of these teams usually closes the deal in Omaha, and the other one never has.

Maybe don’t get too full of yourselves yet.

The SEC had 13 of the initial 64 teams in the tournament. That is 20% of the teams.

The SEC has 2 of the final 8 teams left in the tournament. That is 25% of the teams.

The SEC has done fine.

Auburn, Vandy and Georgia were the worst. Totally choked.

The biggest disappointment by far has to be the Aggies with the team they brought back, no excuses to not make regionals and on top of that Mizzou's only three sec wins is what kept them out

Van Horn had no interest in sticking around SEC tourney and it definitely benefitted Hogs

Other disappointments were Vandy and Texas. Texas peaked way too soon and Vandy looked like a lock for Omaha after SEC tourney run.

I'm still perplexed how bad UGA pitching has been under guru Wes Johnson.

For us it was a combination of choking along with the team never quite recovering from the loss of spencer.
no excuses though. We had no business losing to that team the way we did. It happens. On to next year. I'll root for the SEC teams in Omaha, however.

Congrats Hawg. I hope y'all finally win it this year.

I think it is obvious that the SEC was overrated. We did not even make the final 2 in a regional we hosted.

That's a good point but I still expected half the teams in Omaha would be SEC. Some of us just choked (present company included).

I have a theory that the fans of teams that talk the most trash before they've actually won the games do so because deep down those people know they won't be able to do so after the games are played.

I think this thread will be a good test of that theory. Bookmarking.

If Murray St wins tonight then the SEC would still have the most teams in Omaha so doesn’t say much for any other conference either

So much for the ACC getting 4 teams in and the SEC being overrated like I heard nonstop since the regionals began…

SEC - Arkansas, LSU
ACC - Louisville
SBC - Coastal Carolina
B12 - Arizona
B10 - UCLA
MVC - Murray State
Independent - Oregon State

All that tells me is the tournament is too large in its present form and needs to downsize.

PAC 12 got 3 - UCLA, Arizona, Oregon State, brilliance to kill the conference…

If this were one year ago, the PAC12 would have the most teams in the field. They admittedly have their own poor leadership to blame, but what a shame it is that it came to this
