Here are the records so far for the power conferences and the mid-majors split between at-large worthy teams and auto-bids:
.763- SEC (29-9)
.643- Big 10 (9-5)
.550- Big 12 (11-9)
.462- ACC (12-14)
.424- Mid-Major At-large teams (14-19)
.344- Mid-Major Auto Bids (21-40)
I get so exhausted every year when many of the talking heads that matter in the sport (D1 Baseball and others) prop up these mid-majors and act as if the SEC doesn’t deserve the number of bids that it receives.
The constant propping up of Southern Miss, Coastal, Oregon State, and UC Santa Barbara was exhausting. All four are already eliminated. All combined for a record of 4-8. None really put up a fight in their regionals.
The SEC is extremely difficult. No matter what happens with Kentucky today, they proved they absolutely deserved a bid and if anything they probably deserved a 2-seed. They definitely had no business being in the “Last 4”.
And finally… we need to discuss the ACC. Yes GT and UNC are good teams, but that league is garbage outside the Top 2. They get WAY too much credit throughout the year. The committee needs to stop treating them as if they are close to SEC caliber.

How many SEC teams beat another SEC team? Quite a few on the softball side.

None so far, but that will start in the Super Regionals

One other interesting point…
The trickle down of CFB tv revenue along with expansion has made the Big 10 the #2 conference this season in baseball…. This despite #1 UCLA falling on its face.
I suspect the Big 10 will run equal or ahead of the ACC and Big 12 in future years. The revenue gap is just so large now between those leagues.

The Big10 is the best run conference in the country now.

So the SEC has more wins than any other conference has total games played
The SEC is also just 3 wins behind the combined win total for the other 3 conferences

Big 10 is overrated. They only got 3 teams in, and all 3 hosted. That's ridiculous and pure pandering.
Not surprisingly 2 are out.
Ok they got 4 teams in, but still. 3 of 4 hosting. They haven't earned that in baseball
