Because Texas isn't even an "SEC State," yet there Houston sits at #3.
I love Houston, but you do realize that the city of Houston is huge relative to every other city on that list short of NYC.
I don't know if the SEC counted metros or the city itself. The city of Houston has 2 million people versus Atlanta's 432k. NYC has over 8 million. But Atlanta and Houston have roughly comparable metros (Atlanta has 5.2 million and Houston has 6 million).

No disputing that.
I wonder where Houston rated this time last year. That might make this metric have a little more relevance.

Y'all keep laughing. We're already ahead of Nashville.

Wait, you're not the A&M fan who suggested we move the SECCG to Houston, Dallas, or KC are you?

No Oxford? or Fayetteville, Athens, Auburn, Columbia, MI, or College Station.
Auburn - 54,000 people + 25,000 students
Fayetteville - 75,000 people + 22,000 students
Athens - 116,084 people + 34,000 students
Columbia - 110,000 people + 34,000 students
College Station - 95,142 people + over 50,000 students
At least Oxford is similarly limited...
Oxford - 19,000 people + 17,000 students
Starkville - 24,000 people + 21,000 students
If we go per capita, State wins this by a mile...
Print the shirts.

I didn't know anybody went to the SEC website for news, info, or anything else.

It's the weekly Aggie data thread.

Hell, you'd expect aTm and Mizzou folks to be hitting the website, trying to figure this SEC stuff out. It's brand new to them. Like a kid with at new toy on Christmas morning.

How many online polls were conducted during this time frame? That could explain the huge spike in Aggie visitors.

Tell me about it. Every first day of school when the teacher passed Frank Sanders.....
I just would raise my hand. I've probably heard 1000 different variations of it.

Interesting report. I'm surprised at Houston at #3. Definitely would not have thought it would beat some of the more centrally located (SEC-wise) cities.
Also a little surprised at Charlotte on the list, but I guess it draws a lot of folks from SC, TN, and Ga.
Starkville representing over Athens, Fayetteville, Auburn, etc.
