Hey guys what’s yall take on this. I think with the SEC going to 9 games is great and adding that non con P4 requirement is more so a chess move. The B1G didn’t anticipate the SEC to make that move, with the B1G not having that same requirement i don’t see them sitting back not the doing the same cause it’s not a good look if they don’t. Take Indiana for example they don’t have a non con P4 opponent til 2030 and that’s Notre Dame.

I like the 6+3 setup.

My only complaint is I sure would rather split up Alabama and Georgia and play at least one of them annually instead of none one year then both the next.

We will def not get every game we want but it is what it is...FSU, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Auburn, Uk would prob be the 6 main games I would want...but will not happen.

It is about having a marquee game every year. I'd be happy to play both every year iron sharpens iron but that isn't an option.

You gotta think the playoffs are expanding next season. Otherwise, don't know why we'd keep Michigan with that SEC slate.

I think we are screwing ourselves and hurting our chances of more playoff teams. While the Big Ten has some excellent teams they also have a bunch of garbage teams. The SEC doesn’t have that. Even our bad teams can beat our top teams on any given day. Rutgers and Minnesota are never beating Ohio State. It is a lot easier for a top Big Ten team to only have three or less losses.

It's sort of like politics: they griped the SEC & ACC didn't play 9, but now that we are + 1 ADDITIONAL P4, they only have themselves to blame.

In fairness, if you want that for yourself subtly implies another school SHOULD/would have that combo.

I've been wanting a universal scheduling format so everthing can be answered on the field.

More games that matter on UKs schedule is a plus in my book. The Poop State games do nothing for me.

All it does is give 1/2 the teams in the league an extra loss. In a world where the committee has shown that overall wins matter more than anything, I'm not sure this is a smart move.

Did someone seriously say “even our bottom teams can beat our top teams” to somehow pretend the conference that hasn’t sniffed a Natty game in 3 years is still strong? Did you not see a low level ACC team beat Bama LAST season? Did you not see the ACC win more playoff games and bowl games than the SEC last season?

You guys are living in the past and everyone is laughing at your tired excuses. Iron sharpening iron? The SEC got smoked in both the playoffs and bowls. Indiana drubbed you. Miami drubbed you.

2 of your 3 playoff wins were against each other with the other being Tulane. You beat ZERO P4 teams in the playoffs after having the most bids. You should be embarrassed.

I can’t believe y’all are whining about 1 more conference game. It’s just to funny. Yeah, I’m sure that extra tough game against another mediocre team will destroy your chance to not get to a Natty.

In all fairness y'all were gifted the two easiest schedules upon entering the conference

To be fair, those two teams played for the natty.

I wish the SEC would go back to 10 teams and play nine conference games.
