DeBoer made sure to remind a reporter that hes only changed QBs once during a season in his entire career.

That's the only reason im betting that who we see week 1 is the guy.

DeBoer seems like once he trust a QB he has the keys. Loyalty to a fault.

I mean they have the easiest schedule of anybody in the conference **cough Birmingham SEC offices cough**

If they go worse than 9-3 with this schedule, that would be an ACCOMPLISHMENT and really funny too

Saban only changed QBs twice at Bama during his career, and one of those times was at halftime of the NC game. Not even sure he did it once while he was at LSU.

They have UGA, TENN, Texas aTm, LSU all in a row

with a brand new QB and Oline. We'll see

You keep saying this, but I am looking at our schedule, and comparing it to other schedules, and I don't see what is making it so much easier than other SEC teams.

Outside of LSU, you play your hardest games at home, where you typically win at a 95% clip and Tennessee and Vandy will likely have down years when you face them compared to the recent past

Sure but UGA and aTm are at BDS compared to road environments and TENN will likely suffer a down year, I don't think many have confidence in Tennessee to do much with their current squad

So besides Ole Miss, what are the hard games that LSU is playing on the road this season?

All due respect, not addressing this strawman as part of the argument/debate

But if I must answer, I'd probably say Auburn in JHS, you Alabama fans know very well how difficult it is to win there regardless of the talent gap

How is this a "strawman"? You are claiming that Alabama has the easiest schedule in the SEC. How is comparing other SEC teams' schedules to Bama's not pertinent to the debate?

Fair enough, since this is an Alabama-oriented thread, I sought to keep the debate from going down the rabbit hole of discussing other teams' schedules and getting off track but you raise a fair point for rebuttal purposes

Really he said it was ideal that you have one QB from a leadership standpoint (and who wouldn’t agree with that), but it a change needed to in midseason it would be a “we’ll see” and they feel like both guys are prepared.

He ran a 2 QB system with Marcus Randall and JaMarcus Russell in 2004.

Deboer has been a P4 coach for 4 seasons. He has made the college football playoffs twice in those four years.

I trust Deboer over you.

I am on the DeBoer train.

I believe Mack or Keelon will be better than any qb hes had yet. However, its also safe to assume Ty shouldn't have been playing in a couple games last season.

It came out that Ty was severely injured and it showed on the field.
