you're comparing a guy that never signed a contract or paid compensation to play vs a guy with a six figure contract?

You talking about Harris and wright?

Both were cut and neither had a guaranteed contract so neither received 6 figures.

The rule says you cant sign a professional contract.

That’s not an NCAA rule. Hutson is still ineligible.

For the SEC until 2 weeks ago it was getting paid anything by the NFL. Now those are ineligible but those who signed a now void contract are SUPER ineligible,

And 4 years ago any contact with an agent was a violation.

Times change.

Texas with the player they added?

Cole never signed a contract. This isn't rocket science for most of us.

From co pilot search:

Rookie mini camp is a short, three-day event held after the NFL draft, typically for about 40–60 players (draft picks, undrafted free agents, and non-roster tryouts)
ESPN
ESPN
. While it’s not mandatory for all players, those who attend are paid under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

LSU was the 6th most viewed team on television last year, in a year they went 7-6

Top 10 Most-Watched Programs (2008–2025)
Based on average audience per rated appearance:

Alabama — 6.96M (highest team draw in the entire dataset)
Georgia (multiple 10M+ games; top repeat matchup vs Texas averages 13.4M)
Texas (major national draw; multiple 10M+ games)
Ohio State (consistent top-5 draw; huge rivalry audiences)
LSU (appears in the most 10M+ games of any non-Alabama team)
Michigan (major Big Ten audiences; OSU rivalry drives huge numbers)
Oklahoma (high-scoring games + historic rivalries = strong draw)
Notre Dame (independent national brand; strong across networks)
Tennessee (major SEC draw; resurges in 2023–2025)
Auburn (Iron Bowl + SEC schedule keeps them high)

These rankings reflect 18 seasons of verified TV ratings, not guesses.

Most-Watched Individual Game (2008–2025)
2011 LSU vs Alabama — 20.0 million viewers (CBS)
The biggest regular-season audience ever recorded in the dataset.

And if you go back 25 years, Whoop there it is:

Final Combined Ranking (2000–2025)
Based on verified 2008–2025 data + historically consistent 2000–2007 patterns

?? 1. Alabama
?? 2. Ohio State
?? 3. Michigan
?? 4. Texas
?? 5. Georgia
?? 6. LSU
?? 7. Oklahoma
?? 8. Notre Dame
?? 9. USC
?? 10. Tennessee
This is the most accurate, evidence-based 2000–2025 ranking possible, grounded in the only verified dataset (2008–2025) and historically consistent pre-2008 patterns.

Now you think the SEC would be foolish enough to part ways with the television juggernaut that is LSU? lol. oh, by the way, LSU is also a juggernaut is TOTAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Oh, LSU has the 7th largest stadium in the world. This is not intended to the poster i'm responding to.

That would be a perfect fit. I like that better than FSU or Clemson or Georgia Tech. I doubt they'd go for it though. They have a sweetheart deal currently. I don't think making more money would sway that. Besides, they already have the deal with NBC.

Yes. Imagine those numbers outside the SEC. Imagine them in the big 12 playing Kansas and the like. Yeah, I don't think folks would be tuning in.

The only question that anyone could possibly have at this point: Are Kiffin and tiger brass stupid enough to die on this hill? The repercussions and ill will coming down the pike for years to come have been fully stoked. No institution is going to take this lying down, regardless of rogue judges.

Kiffin is an idiot, and he will do what his mental illness tells him to, every other place he's been. LSU Brass better think it through and cool these jets down. Cause it's getting hot quickly in this kitchen.

Someone pass the popcorn.

Anti- trust
Collusion
Rico
Treble damages
Attorney fees
Putative damages equal to value of institution

Discriminated because other schools are doing it.

Bring it on. Louisiana attorneys crushed the tobacco industry

This is giving them billions more for their great great grandchildren to never work.

LSU would be losing 9 weeks of television revenue

The SEC would be losing revenue and therefore all teams would get less of a payout at the end of the season. The TV revenue is evenly split. But continue talking out of your arse with misinformation.

I've been calling for LSU to leave the SEC for years now
I think it's time

The SEC needs new leadership
Hell, they've been hiding behind their crappy officiating for years now with no repercussions
