Certainly wouldn’t be the first time we started well and finished with a thud.

I’m cautiously optimistic

IF Tennessee beats Maryland, they will have a better resume. Houston is a really good team but North Carolina isn’t even ranked anymore. Wins over Kansas and Maryland will be better than wins over Houston and North Carolina

Bama's best ball is ahead of them I believe. A young team Miller is still adjusting but stepped up big at the line late yesterday Quinerly will get better and Dom Welch will be ready to go soon.

As much depth as anyone and a lot of length. Plus playing this schedule will make them grow up.

Bama has Memphis and Gonzaga coming up. Memphis at home and the Zags in Bham.

Tennessee has yet to play a road game and they've got a neutral court loss to currently 5-5 Colorado.

If they beat Maryland and then Arizona on the road, they'll have a solid argument but they aren't there yet.

If they get hot at the right time and avoid too many key injuries there are a couple of SEC teams that could make very deep runs in the Big Dance. Or even win it all.

My concern is that the NCAA has often not favored the SEC with seeding and location. How many times have SEC teams played "neutral" site games that were within a brisk walk of the other team's campus?

Regardless this is shaping up to be an incredible year in the SEC. Should be some amazing games to watch during the conference schedule.

I know Unc has started off bad this year, but there is a good chance they will get it together, Anyone who watched that Bama vs UNC game knows that UNC actually brought it that game and played well. You gotta give Bama credit for answering the bell that game, I really like the poise their players show.

Beating UNC was a solid win. It was not a "#1 team" win.

Beating Houston in their building scoring 50 pts in a half was absolutely a #1 win.

However, this is not the time to peak. Save it for March.

Agreed but there is a lot they can improve on - Limiting turnovers and more consistent FT shooting come to mind. Though not holding my breath - Bama has never had a good FT shooting team.

I love this team, but you're right.

That being said, this group also seems to come out a little bit lethargic and then go on runs when they need to flip the switch. A lot of those mistakes go away when they start playing hard.

I think we saw it last night, it's just that Memphis kept answering every time we surged.

Hopefully that better consistency is what we'll see come February and March, as they continue to mature.

Easily best resume so far.

Conference is stacked. Right now, the SEC has 3 in top 10 & 6 in top 25.

its fun that bama is good in hoops now. brings the whole thing up.

No clue where the hogs should be ranked in conference. I think we go undefeated at the Bud this conf season but lose some stinkers on the road

I have only watched one half that Bama has played in so far. In that half, I didn't see any set plays or pick and roles. I just saw four guys run to the three evertime they had the ball and open there hands hoping for the pass. Is that how they play, or did I just catch them at the wrong time.

We scored 44 points in a half in Houston's building. If you think a team just rambling around playing street ball could do that then I don't know what to tell ya.

Oats has proven beyond a doubt over the last decade that he can teach efficient, winning offense. He's still figuring out some of the things that come with running a major program, but scoring efficiently ain't one of them.

You may have caught one portion of a game where JQ was in as the lead guard. That’s not how we play 95% of the time.

I think JQ causes that issue. That is what the other Bama fans are saying. I'll need to see more of Bama to come up with my conclusion. I guess I'll know when you guys come visit the Bud in early January.

Bama win at Houston is legit.

Arky is legit.

Still very early and there's time to improve for sure for a lot of teams.

I'm happy for the Conference.
