Engineering probably the key for A&M, together with the fact that there are big cities in Texas where a lot of their grads work.

GaTech has the highest average starting salary for all of Div. 1 programs so its easy to see how STEM majors have a leg up in the current economy.

LSU has a med school, law school, dental school, vet school and The Ourso MBA program. I sort of assumed this was the norm for all ( or most) flagship universities, but recently learned that Arky has no Vet or Dental school. What about other SEC schools?

Is it relative to cost of living in the areas where they work?

I.E. if most AU grads end up working in ATL, and most UA grads in B'ham, then logically the AU grads will have to make more just to break even in comparison.

Seriously, I think a lot of people failed Econ 101 in here.

Actually, I'd bet half the SEC schools couldn't boast that.

Alabama has a med, law, and MBA programs. No vet school.

Auburn has a Vet school but no med or law school.

To add to that, how many schools have a nursing or pharmaceutical program, which LSU does not have?

You think with all that money A&M would be able to buy some decent defensive recruits.

Only because 81% of their university graduates become trophy wives that do not work, thus falsifying their number, which is actually $300k give or take!1!

Ole Miss and MSU basically split these programs...
