Also a good nugget of info is that the new I-22 running from Bham to Memphis runs right through Nauvoo.

Does Nauvoo have little sidewalk cafe's or adorable BedNBreakfast spots ? If so I'm all for it. Its fun to venture out and see how the rural folk live.

Bought a horse about 2 years ago from a guy in Nauvoo. There is absolutely nothing there. Maybe a gas station or 2.

It's practically Birmingham though. Same with drawing a radius or population center. The only SEC city not within 500 miles of Birmingham is College Station Texas, A&M should never have been admitted to the conference, it's the SW.

James Spann probably knows the name of every street and dirt trail in or around Nauvoo.

I've never seen anything worthwhile, but JT wasn't lying about Camp McDowell. Beautiful little canyon there at the camp filled with big leaf magnolia, inside of the Bankhead National Forest.

Easily the best meteorologist east of the Mississippi River. The only better ones are probably in Texas and Oklahoma where they have to be on their A-game every time there's a severe weather outbreak.

Is that road actually going to be finished? I swear they were working on it when I used to go back and forth to GT in the early 80's.

on the 4 lane, off the 4 lane, on the 4 lane, off the 4 lane,...

You'd think getting an interstate between Memphis and Birmingham would be a higher priority but I guess the crosscountry traffic all uses 20 or 40

If I'm not mistaken, Nauvoo is the hometown of Ben Sankey, shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1929 to 1931.
