Unless they have some big surprises this fall on the depth chart, Arkansas is headed for a losing season.

Who is Green going to throw to?

Himself?

Pittman should have been gone already.

Freeze has a few more years of “look at what Harsin left me.”

Auburn fans peddle that line everyday.

I agree his is cold as ice. We are doing better now with recruiting and the program is in better shape that it was in Spurriers first few years. Those facts are not going unnoticed. Shane is an affordable coach and to go farther out on a limb and go big....when big is not the way to win at South Carolina is foolish. You win with consistency over several years as long as it doesn't go south 2 years in a row. The portal has changed everything, and Shane is a likeable coach, so the NIL combined with a likeable coach means success if you are willing to build it.

Well you kinda answered the question yourself. For a program like Arkansas, apparently a 4-8 season in Year 4 is not a fireable offense. But surely a 4-8 season in Years 4 AND 6 would cost a man his job? Or has Arkansas fallen so far that is now acceptable?

You’d think so. We don’t care about football as a program anymore

While I agree, it seems that 4-5 wins will save his arse yet again.

Freeze knows he must win a minimum of 7 games or he is gone. So is his seat hot? …. absolutely. No Auburn fan disputes that.

What most Auburn fans also realize is that the team was a lot closer to 7 wins last season than most people realize. The loss of kicker Alex McPherson (PUP) at the beginning of the season was devastating. Field goals were an abysmal 4 of 9 for FG between 30-37 yards. There were at least 2 games Auburn would’ve won had they had a healthy McPherson, or a legit replacement.

Doesn’t matter, injuries are a part of the game and it’s Freeze’s job to prepare accordingly, and he has owned his 2024 record.

McPherson returns in 2025, assuming he continues to improve health wise. I’m told he’s putting weight back on and kicking near full strength again. That’s good, …. but I’m pleased to know Freeze has shored up the Kicker room going into 2025.

Gotta have a solid Kicker if you want to compete in the SEC …. table stakes.

After publicly running over and putting the bus in reverse to run over every offensive player he has, he owned up to it?

Dont see BK missing a bowl game. Fans will be highly upset if we miss the playoffs but I dont see him going anywhere for a few yrs.

Naw, Kelly is currently safe at LSU. As long as he wins 9-10 games most years, he probably can stay there as long as he wants.

I put an edit note, In my head I was seeing that bottom group as on the hot seat...so hot and not cold as ice as in safe.

I agree he is completely safe

Brian Kelly hottest seat imo. They spent like ohio state last offseason. No chance he's back if no playoffs

Kirby isn't hot, but he won't be coaching in 5 years.

What will drive him to step down?

Has he fully accomplished what he set out to do? (I'd say yes, but high level coaches always want more)

Or the changes to the sport push him away?
