re: SEC Fans, what is your favorite ACC School?

North Carolina and Virginia

NC State or Duke

Tech, NC State or UVA.

As a football program, without a doubt Virginia Tech. Longtime coach who has had no doubt many chances to leave, but stayed to become a legend, traditional style team that plays defense and runs the ball, while helping themselves on special teams. Rabid fans and definitely putting football first. I wish we had snapped them up in 2004 instead of letting the ACC get them. FSU has done more, but is really just an SEC team that was too much of a pussy to join the SEC, so I don't really have much respect for them.

In basketball, I guess UNC is the obvious choice, with Duke a respectable, but not that close, second.

Academically, UVa, UNC, Duke and Georgia Tech are probably the most impressive.

My least favorite is probably Miami. They aren't very impressive academically or in any sport other than football, and even in that it was mostly by cheating.

Damn I really hate most of them. Strongly dislike FSU, Duke(bball at least I like what they're doing in football), Miami, UNC, Syracuse, Louisville, Clemson, ND.

Live in VA and the passion those people have is great on a small non SEC level. Top 5 atmosphere in college football.

Admittedly was a big FSU football fan in the 90s. Warrick Dunn, Charlie Ward, Peter Warrick, Derrick Brooks and Weinke. They were fun to watch and in that time LSU wasn't on TV every week so I had to watch someone and FSU was always on in VA. My brother is a FSU fan so I have to cheer for them as long as it has no effect on LSU. Do admit to not being a fan of the Winston teams though. They thought they were bigger than their britches. Should not have won a title. frick you Auburn
