Like it or not, Texas and Oklahoma will officially be in the SEC on July the 1st. So get over it and enjoy the challenge of better opponents. This Bama fan is glad to have them. If you love college football, how could you not?

Call it what you want but Texas joined OU’s conference in the 90’s. Both schools know OU/Texas is a brand, separate from the schools’ brand. Severing the two would be a dumb move.

Adding Texas and Oklahoma are fine. Geographically, Oklahoma and Missouri are a stretch, but otherwise the schools we have are fine.
I'm not crazy about the super conferences. We had 10 teams when I started being a fan. The fraternity keeps getting bigger. At what point does it stop being a unique group of schools? It feels like we're heading toward two super conferences, one of which isn't quite as super.

I have 2 great grandfathers buried in LeFlore County, Oklahoma who were both in the Confederate army. One from the 11th Cavalry of Georgia, the other from the Alabama Cavalry.
