The Shenandoah Valley and southwest VA are solid folks. Virginia Tech may be alright. But UVA students covered up a statue of Thomas Jefferson.
No to UVA. They make Oxford and Austin look like a MAGA rally.

Using that logic, Georgia got the boot in 2020. I'm in for that!

To be fair, I truly don't GAF but I was genuinely curious about the last time each "southern" state went blue. Take my post for what you will but it wasn't intended to be politically charged. Just observation.

Afraid it’s not just DC. Places like Richmond and Norfolk have also grown and are pretty blue too.
This is correct. The majority of Virginia is very much “the south”. I weekend trip all over the state frequently.

I never spent much time in Richmond, but I did in Norfolk and there are TONS of active and ex-military there. Of course any metro area tends left, but it would be hard for me to believe that Norfolk is a major progressive center.

You said this about Ok State.
Stillwater was pretty fun IMO. What's wrong with going to a home game. Eskimo Joe's?
It's like what College Station used to be. Podunk college town all the way. Very SEC cultured.
I don't get why you say that, other than to hate on the Pokes.

The SEC needs to go back to 10 teams and play a nine-game schedule.

It would be silly to dismiss Virginia over politics. We would gladly take them into the B1G.
