Martin looked disinterested at best multiple times toward the end of last season. What was that about? There were times where I expected him to lose it and he just sat on the bench and watched.

FWIW, I like him and think he's a good coach. His methods last year (at least to the outsider's view) seemed odd.

Beat down Benedict College, a small school in Columbia.

SC definitely looks to be the top team in the greater Columbia-metro area.

Belle, I actually don't like the platoon system for real games. I'm obviously hoping to be wrong, but I think it'll be a problem. It seems to me that if Cal is too rigid with the platoons, we could drop some games, but if he's too willing to adapt them, players could be more pissed than if he'd just told them they'd be bench guys to begin with. Then, assuming we go away from the platoons, you've potentially got guys that, while they know each other's games, probably haven't played together in games or practice all that much (assuming they were on different platoons).

TL;DR: I'm worried and overthinking the platoons.

Mizzou is going to "leave it all on the floor."
We are going to play "fundamentally sound" "team basketball."
We'll give "110%."
And a lot of other things that teams that aren't very good do.

So it's a group of gym rats, who are scrappy, and have a high basketball iq?

We have some "young talent" that is going to have to "grow up quickly." Plus our big guys need to work on their "footwork" but they have "a lot of desire."

Our shooting guards are going to be nicknamed "the Rocky Marcianos." (Hands of Stone)

I'm being a little too deprecating of our team. But we certainly have some gaping holes. I do like where we are headed at the present time. It's hard to do worse than Where we were headed.

Our only real big was injured in our first exhibition and likely won't play for a few months. We now have a single, undersized big. Could be a problem. Nevertheless, we should be improved.

Much better than last year, this team is young, but experienced. Everyone is back minus Brenton Williams, our backcourt should be pretty damn good. We'll surprise some people this year.

This has to be the most excitement around the program in the Frank Martin Era, especially with Football being down this year.

Sweet Sixteen run

Still young, but lots of experience.

Madden, Bell, Portis, Kingsley, Qualls, Harris are all back.

We will know early on with road trips to SMU and Iowa State

We got enough from the fall sign-up to field a team. We have the uniform order in place. Uniforms will definitely be here before the first game. Still need more moms to sign up for orange slices at half and drinks after the game, but I think we will be OK. We received 79 votes for 14th place and one vote for 13th place in the pre-season poll. Apparently one voter could not remember the names of the other 13 teams in the SEC.

Offense will be interesting.

may be the most notable difference and improvement to the team, not relying on the point guard to make a pass as the only offensive weapon,, I can get used to that.

We can really defend on the perimeter and our guards can all score. We gonna get raped on the glass though. We will be a fun team to watch but we're still a year away from having the pieces to compete with the top of the SEC. If Atewe isn't out a long period of time and we get Trayvon Reed in for the 2nd semester we could be a bubble NIT team.

I like our players from what little I've seen, Gil-Casear looks like he has amazing potential.. the only guy that really doesn't Rosberg, well he's our practice pylon but he will square up, plant his feet and fight for a rebound that comes his way, what more can he do?

I think you're going to be surprised by how fast this team comes around.

Gil-Caesar should be a good player for Mizzou. I got the opportunity to watch him a couple times and he's a really well rounded wing.

Lets be honest. We scuffled against a D2 team. Montevallo is solid for their division, but they'd win maybe one game (if they got lucky) against any team on our regular schedule. I do realize we were without players, but I was still hoping for a little more separation from Montevallo.

Montevallo is actually Great for their Division... returned 4 starters and leading scorers from last years final four team... expected to win the championship this year... they have some great shooters and we held them down defensively..

Middle of the pack, or worse, but better times coming.

Will take awhile to clean off the stain of Haith.

i honestly don't even care until Kennedy is gone.

Good man, good recruiter, but like Mike Sherman, makes me disinterested in an Aggie sport.
