Yea, most of the large SEC fanbases would

They are a 14 point dog and Atlanta is an 8 hour drive from St. Louis. Can't really blame them

We're much better on the road. Mizzou fans depriving themselves to help the team win.

I seriously think many Bama fans are having to take into account possibly traveling to watch a playoff game and are holding off spending money on going to the SECCG. Mizzou fans just aren't going anyways.

Okay. A lot of Auburn fans had one to deal with in 2010 for the National Title game. Still found a way.

Are you comparing an ice storm on a 100 mile drive to an ice storm on a 600+ mile drive. Seems reasonable.

I was there last year, but I was able to get out of work Thursday @ noon and beat the storm. If i had waited until Friday to leave I would have definitely been stuck.

From St. Louis. It's 11-12 from KC, which is where the other huge portion of our fanbase is.

The way the number has dropped since 2013, could there be less Mizzou fans than last year?
More Auburn fans than Alabama fans?

Face value of Sugar Bowl tickets between $175 - $250, then $450 - $650 for the national championship game. Nice chunk of change for the average family, so I could see some folks sitting out the SECCG.

As a student we drove to Arkansas one weekend (12+ hours) and Gainesville the next (8 hours) knowing we would probably lose both (we did).

Our visitor section was packed.

Done the same with New Orleans, Dallas, etc. You just kind of find a way to go to thinks like SECCG and BCS games (if you go), or at least a large portion of your fanbase does.

And Bama fans better f'ing show up, it's freaking Atlanta.

I understand budgeting for the entire playoff but Atlanta is easy driving distance for at least 80% of the fanbase.

Yea, and with the game at 4 you could easily drive back to Alabama afterwards. Heck, we did that in 2008 when it was at 7.

Not to mention there are 20,000 Alabama people actually in metro Atlanta.

Exactly, you can get tickets at face value or very close to it, and on top of that don't have to get a hotel, it's just stupid not to.

The playoff games will be way more expensive but this is the easiest SEC championship ticket you'll ever get.
