I didn’t get anything from Mizzou with a 29 on the ACT. I think you needed a 30 to get $4k/yr.

That's horrible news. I loved watching that kid play. I wish him the best.
quote:

Most people don’t want the schools to pay players, they want players to be make money off of their own private likeness (sponsorships and marketing deals) and still play at NCAA schools

This would just lead to boosters paying a kid $500k for an autograph. Not saying I think the kids shouldn't get paid, but what seems like something that's common sense up front (i.e.letting kids sell their autographs, or get deals with Nike) would quickly be exploited by boosters trying to get kids to come play for their particular school.

It's going to be interesting to see how it's handled now that California passed that law.
I will go mountain biking all morning and then I'll watch my other alma-mater the UCF knights play that evening.
bad turnovers, linebackers and safeties out of position multiple times, and a mobile QB we had no film on.

KB fumbled and they returned it for a TD, Rountree fumbled before falling into the endzone, and KB threw a pick in the endzone. That right there is at worst a 13 point swing and at best a 21 point swing. Just poor execution really.
Auburn, almost went there for my PhD, but got a better offer the morning of April 15th, so I declined and went elsewhere, but ever since then I’ve followed Auburn pretty closely.

They look horrible.

And add to it the tutor was an employee

This quote doesn’t make any sense...how is an athletics department tutor not an employee? If I work at the university gym part time I’m an employee...if I work as a tutor part time I’m also an employee. Someone pays them...whoever pays them is their employer.
It literally says "athletics department tutor" so who was paying her? the athletes?
Poor play calling costs us again. Very frustrating
I remember the Springdale kid transferring back to Arky from USC about 10 years ago

Surprised NWA wasn’t #1. This place has exploded since I’ve moved here 7 years ago.
Depends on the program. They had a top PhD program in the field I went there for, but yes for UG I agree it is largely a safety school for UF. Also, it was a commuter school about 10-15 years ago, but a lot of that has changed. There are still a ton of commuters and satellite campuses, but it also has 65k students, the number of students living on/around campus is equivalent to the size of most SEC student bodies.
Way more, and most of them barely graduated HS...but they’ll talk crap like they played for the Gators.

I guess either way I’d have an alma mater in the SEC.
Same LBs coach was great, head coach and DC would rip your head off if you made one mistake (I.e. getting crack-blocked by a WR and missing your contain on 1 play).
I guess that's just the difference in expectations then. If Mizzou can give Georgia a run for their money every couple of years and be top 2-3 in the east with consistent 9-10 win seasons I'm fine with that. Until the University shells out the big bucks and fans start showing up to games like Georgia fans do can we really expect more? I remember when I started at Mizzou in 2002-2003 and they were completely irrelevant, so consistent 9-10 win seasons in the SEC would be killing it IMO.
This is what I see. He's better than Nick Marshall was as a passing QB. Definitely not the athlete, but a better passer for sure. I agree with heavy RPO and taking advantage of the depth and talent in the backfield we have.
You won’t need him. PAC-12 sucks and Oregon couldn’t even finish top 3 in their division plus they lose their first round QB.
