St. Louis is the only one of those teams that is considered respectable. Again, RPI means basically nothing at this point.

And yes, I will definitely be interested in seeing how they play against OU.

Ole Miss is LEGIT this year.

3 senior starters, tons of experience, size, depth, a cocky gunslinger.

Yall have the makings of a Tourney team IMO

Nope. UK is still easily top 3 in the SEC at the moment.

Yeah, I'm afraid of UK putting it together later in the season. They've got all the pieces.

The reason I posted the other teams is because of how badly we limped through our non-conference season outside of the Florida and MSU games last year.

We really looked pathetic. Having seen our team this year though, I almost don't recognize them:

1. Roberton and Turner are playing the way we have expected. Andrew Young has become a menace off the bench in a way no one really predicted.

2. Our guards are actually scoring. Gone are the days in which the opposing team would pretty much defend only four of our players because of Dash Harris' offensive ineptitude. Elston Turner is clearly the best player, but the combination of Caruso, Reese, Harris, and Green is a matchup nightmare for many teams since all but Harris are 6'4 or taller, all can shoot lights out, and all can shoot from the foul line.

3. We are shooting almost 80% as a team from the foul line.

Things are certainly looking better than they were, even compared to earlier this year. I still think we are a mid-SEC team, but we definitely have the potential to knock off some of the top teams.

You know we can count on a sweep of Arkansas. The Melvin Watkins curse didn't end, it was just postponed.

I feel like we're too high.

*checks schedules of Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Auburn*

Holy crap we might win a conference game!

We're just not playing like it right now IMO. Now I'll say that there's definitely the potential for that late run. And they have a few games to work out the kinks before going to Louisville.

God damn, I hope yall destroy those frickers. Most annoying fanbase I've ever seen after that Elite 8 game last year.

Worse fanbase outside of the OU fans in the 08 NC game.

This warms my heart a little.

Living among them all my life I can totally understand.

KY will get waxed by Louisville. Just not enough time to fix the mess. They will probably be good by the end of the season come tourney time.

And I guess we have established that Baylor playing at Rupp>>ND playing at home?

It's a rivalry game. I'd think legit Florida Basketball fans who saw at least one of their championship teams get beat by Florida State (who was clearly not better on paper) wouldn't be so quick to make such a brash call.

Maybe. The talent is there.

No. Pretty sure we established that as I've said all along that they'd hit some bumps early and maybe even on the road in conference. Then possibly make a strong run in the tournament. But thanks for your halfass analysis as usual.
