LSU 1, Oklahoma 2

OU has the lead thanks to some ugly defense by LSU

With Brendan Brock at second, Dayton Tockey strikes out swinging - but the ball gets away at home plate

Brock comes all the way around to score and Tockey is safe at first

Whatever works

Seems risky because a opening loss to lower seed hurts him a lot more than a win helps.

If you can't beat this LSU team even with an asswater starter then you shouldn't worry about shite else this season and focus on next.

Coming in on Friday for the Texas game then headed to Trim Tab Brewery to see Uncle Lucius on their 20th anniversary tour.

Will make decisions on Sat/Sun based on us not choking like we did last season.

I love how Rantards critique their own baseball teams. So different from football season.

"You think your defense is bad? Wait till you see our bullpen!"

Now that OU is into the LSU bullpen they may shorten the game a couple of innings.

Oh well.

Maybe another day.

We are gonna get a very tough regional and deserve it. Skip tried to outsmart the system by pitching middle relievers to start and then all game. He thought he would save pitchers to go deeper and all he did was lose and cost team a better regional placement.

I can’t support this. If you start starters Tue night they would have plenty of time to rest before nationals. It has been a season with so much promise first month followed by disaster the last month capped off by a one and done giveaway game in SEC tourney.

Flat out bad. Have lost my respect for him. Bad decisions during games have cost games and now bad pitching choices to start tourney. And now out.

I suspect the catcher was accustomed to that pitch being called a strike even though the umpires have known that pitch is off the plate. Now that Big Brother is looking over their shoulder they gotta get it right or look like dummies. Hope the conference uses it in the regular season next year. Yeah, it'll cost some $$$ but the SEC is floating in money.

I had said that last night. I thought he would follow up the opener with a proven arm.

Seems like some of the more well known relief guys were the ones that gave up runs, though.
