Is it though? I thought I saw something that priority was given to the regular season results.

Best case scenario right now is getting in 2 games today and probably 3 tomorrow.
Wednesday:
UK/Aub
Bama/Arky
Thursday:
UF/A&M
UT/Vandy
Auburn/LSU
Friday:
A&M/Arky
Bama/UF
UT/LSU
Vandy/Aub
Saturday:
A&M/UF
LSU/Vandy
From here you either play DH Saturday to get the semifinals in Saturday, play semifinal and final on Sunday, or play semifinal Sunday and final on Monday.

Only time with slight rain chance until late Thursday is in the middle of the night. Maybe time for one game around 7 PM Thursday if field is dry enough. Not ideal. Hope this is somewhat wrong and there is less rain.

From what I was seeing it seems the harder stuff should be through that area around 1 tomorrow. After that its scattered light rain. Hopefully the front pushes through faster than expected and it is all done for noon tomorrow. If that happens they can get in 3 games. Will just have 1 late one like last night.

Does anyone have any knowledge of them moving the whole thing in the future? I admit I never really paid that close of attention to it, but I keep hearing this happens quite often. HAs there been any serious discussion of a venue switch?

Don't quote me on it but I thought they renewed the contract for Hoover Met not long ago and put money into the area. If that is the case it won't be moving anytime soon.

games have to be completed by Sunday
Best shot to get all games in would be either to play games simultaneously at Samford and the Met or go to single elimination the rest of the tournament or both. With the weather looking bad through tomorrow until like 10 PM, there doesn't seem to be any way to get all the games in.
Also relevant as to the bylaws
quote:
NCAA Automatic Qualification. The Conference tournament champion will be the Conference’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championship. In the event that inclement weather or other factors prevent the completion of the championship prior to the date and time when the NCAA requires notification for selection to the NCAA tournament, the highest remaining seed in the tournament at the time of suspension shall be designated as the automatic qualifier.
And just fwiw, this is the same rule for the regionals in the NCAAT if they can't be completed.

It's not unusual for conference tournaments
I dont think thats right. The NCAA announces host sites sunday night and the tourney field by Noon on memorial day.
I believe you're thinking about NCAA regionals finishing Monday due to weather.

All I know to tell ya, is that you should have done more in the regular season and you wouldn’t have to rely on playing extra games in a pointless conference tournament. Point in Case UT could lose the first 2 games and still host as the #1 overall seed. Maybe y’all should practice fielding and throwing to first more!

I'm thinking we will see what they plan to do sometime soon as far as single elimination. Assume they would make that call at some point today or early tomorrow.

Don't worry about him. He and Serraneaux get off on shitposting, albeit VolMarine speaks much less intelligibly

The melt from those mouthbreathers when they fail to advance to Omaha will be glorius and i will be right here for it.

always love watching the OFs in this bigger stadium track down balls. The SECT usually provides for some awesome defensive plays in the outfield

pointless conference tournament.
Yet here you are in a thread dedicated to said pointless conference tournament. I guess that makes your comments pointless as well.
Of course you don't just think it is pointless because Tennessee has never won it, now do you? Your comments certainly aren't self-serving I am sure.

Been busy this morning and just noticed the Auburn pitcher has the best baseball name ever.

Watching Tennessee not win the title with the best team in 6 years is going to be amazing
