I would say Fayetteville has the shittiest weather in the conference behind mizzou and our field is natural and fricking amazing.

Nashville, Knoxville, and Lexington all average more precipitation than Fayetteville from January - March. But please, continue telling me about your grass field and College World Series championships.

No need to be so insecure Cornelius. I think it's really cool that you can clean your baseball field with a vacuum.

We could clean the field with a hot pink zamboni with unicorns on the side, and I wouldn't care. Not much different than shiny turf and zoot suits on Fridays. Just win baby.

GTFO you get 2.2 in rain in Jan and we get 1.9in woo hoo. Your field looks like shite and embarrassing for an sec school. We went 10 days with a low of -20 and high of 20 in February. Figure it out. It’s baseball not football.

Baton Rouge gets almost 6 inches of rain in January and over 4 in February and March. It rains plenty everywhere in the southeast

Green Bay Packers play on grass in December. No reason not to have grass in the South.

I used to go to minor league ballgames all the time in New Jersey. They had an all grass field. It was perfect. I also saw the field in the winter with a foot of snow on it for weeks.

It was lush and green by April, when it was also still snowing there.

This isn't an issue about "growing grass" it's an issue of having a cheap and shitty athletic department.

It's not hard.

Knoxville field is so irrelevant nobody even knows what your field looks like. Do you have your own field? Honestly do not know.

I mean you're literally in a thread about it. You obviously know and care about it.

We're obviously referring to vandy's field in this thread, but I now know that yours is fake too.

UT and UK both used to play on grass.....UK admin. in their horrible wisdom decided on turf in the new baseball stadium...in their minds it had nothing to do with weather and everything to do with saving $$$$$ due to far less maintenance.

I don't agree with them, but then again I'm merely a fan

Tony V was a low paid assistant under Van Horn. Wonder why it wasn't the other way around?

Are we at the point where we start having dick swinging contests over average precipation? JFC get a grip man.

We have grass berms for fans to sit in out in left field. KPP is a top notch ball field. Maybe y'all ought to come to Lexington and actually attend a game before talking that mess.

I'd rather we had grass too. Like UKat said, admin made the decision due to maintenance. Sorry it's not 80* in Lexington or Nashville and Knoxvikle in February. We occasionally experience this phenomenon called winter. Look it up. I mowed my lawn for the first time this season two weeks ago. Weather here is not the same as the deep South.

In Kentucky, there is this concept called seasonality.
