Having a discussion with a co worker, figured this would be the beat place to get the answer. Has any team ever not lost a conference series in a season?

Pretty sure Florida won all conf. series a few years ago.

I think Vanderbilt is the only one.
A few lost only 1 series.
A few lost only 1 series.

All of them in 2020.

Would have to go back thru archives for LSU
I don't recall it off the top of my head
It seems they have always dropped one sec series
Towards the end I know PM has had chances to do it but he rests players with sec tourney the next week
Hogs also swept Houston College Classic
Beat ranked LA Tech 2/3 on road

Someone posted the last time a team didn't lose a series period all season and I think it was like 2003 Rice. Pretty remarkable especially with how hard our schedule has been. That said, since there is so much talk about it now watch us lose 2/3 to Florida this weekend

I think the Lone Star State sweep of Texas, Tech and TCU may be the most impressive "series" win of the season. With the sweep of MSU and 2 of 3 over Tenner next.

Vandy didn't lose a series the entire 2013 season unless that metric was also including the post-season as Vandy lost in the super regionals. But in the regular season they won every series. They were 51-8 overall and 26-3 in the SEC entering the postseason. Rice won the national title in 2003, so I'm assumning that post was inclusive of the postseason. (Rice started that season 33-1)

Nope we got swept by State after we wrapped up the SEC title. Won every series until the last one. That was 2018.
Also in 2017 we had 2 series losses.
Also in 2017 we had 2 series losses.

Good grief that's a lot of OOC games for a season

three of those wins and two of those losses were in the SECT. One of their SEC games was cancelled. They had a 55 games with 30 SEC games scheduled entering the season. 56 games is "standard"

I find 2/3 from Tennessee to be more impressive than the sweep of State.

Pretty sure Vandy is the only team

Taking a series from State doesn’t appear to be a difficult task.

They wasted a good opportunity against Missouri.

Maybe today. But when we played State, they were 100% and fresh. No one else has managed to sweep them.

And ranked #3 in the nation.

2013 Vanderbilt went 26-3 in SEC play winning all 10 weekends.
2000 South Carolina (25-5) & 2013 Vanderbilt* (26-3) hold the record for most sweeps in a 10 weekend SEC schedule with 7 undefeated weekends. 2013 Vanderbilt only played 29 games, however, as 1 game at USC was cancelled for weather with VU winning the other 2.
