Texas swept A&M at home in an emotionally charged series for both teams. It happens.

Texas comes out flat at Arkansas in another emotionally charged series and gets swept. It happens, again.

Each of the SEC leaders has looked overwhelming at times, and overwhelmed at others.

It's baseball. You have to look at the body of work over the year, and not just the most recent series..

We went from dicks in our hand, to hats in one weekend. LAWDY. When I say dicks, I mean probably a 2 seed.

Nothing against your team BigBro...but in no way, shape, or form is Texas deserving of keeping any type of #1 ranking. If it was a close series, sure, an argument can be made...but the weekend wasnt even close.

I agree that we should not be ranked #1. Texas was outclassed by Arkansas this last series.

Plus I think it will be more motivating for our team to not be ranked #1.

Imagine going through this whole season without playing Mizzou OR South Carolina.

Vanderbilt can.

Arkansas
A&M
Florida
LSU
Miss State
Ole Miss
Oklahoma

all will have played both.. everyone else but Vanderbilt will have played Mizzou or SC

Florida is obviously playing a lot better with a series win over Arkansas, but 5-13 against all other teams doesn't look great.. that being said, they might be playing better than anyone in the country. We will have our hands full this weekend.

You must be new to Mississippi State athletics. It’s entirely possible.

They may take 1 game..
Earlier this season I felt bad for Mizzou but now I am rooting for them to go winless bc I'm a baseball nerd and I think that would be neat in a historical context.

Losing 3 close games (three 1 run games) is not the same thing as losing in blowout fashion.

Third most wins among teams that haven’t played either Missouri or USC. And we get USC at home come Thursday.

I wouldn’t be shocked if we have to shift the series back a day though. That time of year where we’re constantly dodging the weather.

This is great.

We will handle Missouri and get no due credit.

Then roll into Athens to face a top 2 team.

This will be the 4th top 2 winning series of the year.

At this point I don’t want to host a regional.

What’s the point? Put us as a three in an ACC schools regional.

Thought you guys looked a lot better this weekend than your record indicates.

The Twin Spires balance shows I should have spent more time Saturday paying attention to the ponies than the ball game. Looked like a solid roster finding their stride at the right time.

Since Texas is still #1 in the SEC standings, I can see why they are #1 in a poll.

Arkansas has the best team.. they just shite the bed for 3 straight series and that is the only reason they aren't #1 right now. They will be tough to beat if their pitching stays healthy.
