OU is the 9th ranked team in the Country and 6th is the SEC. WOW
Oklahoma is actually 7th in the SEC and Ole Miss is 8th. :)

Arky always peaks too soon. So yeah not surprised they are considered a top team right now

Just part of always being good for 20 straight years. What a luxury.

Ole Miss is ranked way too high - around 25 might be about right.

Not SEC related, but Liberty forfeited a game Saturday against JSU after using an ineligible player. Their starting pitcher, Ben Blair was somehow left off the 27 man roster. JSU's HC noticed, and after one pitch alerted the umpire. Forfeiture, game over. I've never heard of that before.

I saw that. In what world do you not remember to have your Saturday starter listed on the weekend roster? What an idiot.

With an average Bianco pitching staff, this Ole Miss team would be a national seed contender. This lineup absolutely rakes and has 9 players with an OPS over 1.000 in SEC play. Pitching has been an abortion though. The pitching staff has some talent but it's young and the veterans on the staff are underwhelming. That said, Ole Miss is the kind of team that could get into a regional where teams aren't used to the velo/breaking stuff combos and be trouble. My original prediction was 12-18 and on the bubble and I'm not sure I've seen enough to change that.

You beat an overranted Auburn team who cares. Your crappy pitchers will be exposed soon

This is flawed because some teams aren't as good as their current record and some teams aren't as bad.. but this is the SOS for remaining teams, home & away.. I also added it to OP..

Sounds like a candidate for Farmer's coaching search.

I figure they are real enough to take 2 from Texas, maybe not all 3. So whatever that tells you.
Yeah we find out a lot about georgia and texas this weekend. I think ga is the best team in the league right now so this should be a fun series.

How is Alabama ranked ahead of LSU? None of your data makes sense for that.

Mark me down for being happy with Texas baseball no matter what happens the rest of the way. With Schloss, we are off-the-charts trending, which will feed into next year and onward.
Also mark me down for saying Arkansas is better than Georgia, but we can hash that out another day.

Crazy we have already played 5 of the top 11 BA ranked teams, including 3-game series against 4 of the top 9.

absolutely. We are ahead of where I'd thought we'd be with the shite pierce left us. Future looks bright.

Baseball America poll has 8 SEC teams in the top 10 and the SEC all of 1-5.
The two other schools in the top ten are Clemson and FSU
Good baseball down here...

Question as a reminder -
Is the CWS comprised straight from the rankings? Or is it structured so that all (many) conferences get representation?

Maybe we should just add these two after all. Definitely a baseball fit.
