Clemson and FSU literally add nothing from a viewership standpoint to the SEC.
Trust me, viewership isn't going to be an issue anymore.

For a 18-20 team SEC super conference, tv sets won't be an issue. Really, at that point geography no longer matters.
Geography will in a sense. If you add lets say VT and a NC school you will control the bottom half of the country out to Texas. Lock down the TV rights and the majority of what is shown in those states will be the SEC with a few OOC games sprinkled in here and there.
In regards to regional that will be a big plus considering recruiting regionally where the majority of athletes are from, families are from, and logistics work out.
In the end the product put on TV is only as good as the players dressing out for the games. LA is a great study for that. It might be one of the largest sports markets in the country but when the teams suck no one watches.
Recruiting out of the south, probably the best for recruits, what are his options. Do they play where the best are, where families can get to games, and for the most part the best weather. Or do they play with 2nd tier talent, families very seldom flying to games across the country, and play half their season in the freezing rain and snow. I mean how many top recruits out of sunny southern Cali are going to enjoy that OV in January in the Midwest or look forward to playing in snow?

The big 12 schools offer nothing
I would choose Miami and Florida State as you have to try to not be biased by current results but overall value/program potential.
I would also be cool with hypocritical Dabo and clemson withering on the vine

TV rights are a non-factor. Everything is national/streaming.

NC State only finished above Georgia Tech in revenue.

NCstate and Vtech would be the best fits and great pick ups. They both have the largest student bodies in their state. Student bodies = alumni = tv viewers = money. FSU/Miami/Clemson/TTech/Okie state will not add tv sets. All these moves are about money.

Clemson and FSU.
Seriously, Baylor and TT?

NCST would be the equivalent of “great value brand” vs UNC the name brand.

Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Tulane to have a nice, compact conference that ties-in our old rivalries, keeps Atlanta relevant, pushes us to twenty teams with five teams in four divisions, and drastically improves our academics. Outside of that, I would make a strong push for UNC, UVA, Duke, and VT. However, if I'm being completely honest, I hate everything about what's being proposed.

Controlling the market is key especially for sponsors which is where the money comes from in the end. You honestly think what some fruitcake in Cali wants to purchase is the same in Mississippi?
