This is a let down. Tennessee should be playing Virginia Tech or UNC. If you border an ACC school why would you not play them?
Clemson would also have been a good option given that Barnes coached there too

Usually, yes, Clemson does play South Carolina. That's why that matchup isn't happening. Much like Florida playing FSU. We also play Notre Dame and Miami this year, so I had a feeling it could be Duke or UNC. Happy it's Duke, but my season tix are going to go up in price now.

Tenner isn’t drawing a matchup with Duke or UNC any time soon. They need two games that get everybody to tune in. Florida, Arkansas, Duke, and UNC draw those numbers.
I do think they missed a jewel of a matchup by not making tPear return to NC State.

UNC and Arkansas have played 1 time in the last 9 years. Arkansas is 0-5 against them. Tennessee and UNC have played 3 times in that stretch, and have played double the total amount of times as Arkansas and UNC overall.
Duke and Tennessee have also played 16 times total compared to Arkansas and Duke who have played only 6 times total.
Summary:
Arkansas has played Duke/UNC 11 times total with a 3-8 record (.272)
Tennessee has played Duke/UNC 29 times total with a 10-19 record (.345)

Tennessee has a larger arena than Arkansas, is a bigger school than Arkansas, and is a more populated state than Arkansas. We will also be ranked higher than Arkansas in the preseason.
