The 9 game SEC schedule is way easier for Florida than the last four years have been. Scheduling Utah and Miami was more difficult than an average SEC team. And for that matter, FSU was good for a couple of those seasons.
That said, the 9 game schedule was a horrible decision for the conference. If SEC is the best, they should prove it by having an 8 game conference schedule. Include a couple cupcakes from G5 and FCS, and then a couple P4 games to remind everyone who the best is.

It’s going to coast anyone that gets to Atlanta. Whoever you’re playing will be damn good and I’m not sure the bye after being off a month helps either.

This is why every fan base needs to adjust expectations. Coaches going 8-4 isn’t a failure anymore. Combined with NIL it is much more NFL like in terms of conference parity (except for Arkansas)

The 9 game SEC schedule is so the SEC will beat each other up and lose good players so they will be weak in playoffs for Big10 opponents.

Auburn plays 7 of the 8. Brutal schedule. Next year we add Notre Dame to the Brutal schedule
